Meet Marlye Gonzalez | CEO and Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marlye Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marlye, what do you attribute your success to?
I firmly believe that the key factor behind my success and the success of my business is that it’s been directly impacted by the passion and limitless love I placed into building it. Reality is, everything done with love always flourishes. Weather is business, friendships, relationships or anything in general. When done with love and dedication success is inevitable. I built my business with the vision of helping families cope, accept and find the right resources for the many children facing struggles developmentally.  I as a young mom experience this process myself. The journey wasn’t easy, but I sure learned a lot of things along the way. Taking it from my own struggle; I made it a mission to become somehow an advocate, and before I knew, I was in my way to build what today is a multimillion dollar business and serves many families and children in our community. I think it is safe to say that I used my own struggle to grow and help other people overcome similar situations. Being a young mother of three children in the spectrum was definitely the hardest battle. But I used the love and the desire to help others and put it into practice. Along the way, many people came to share the same vision, the same goals, the same passion. Today, we are more than 30 staff members and I can proudly say we have become not only an amazing team but a family. We, as a team built an environment not only dedicated to the development of the children we serve but a source for many families. We not only provide services to the children but we’ve created a system to help and support the whole family. Is no secret children thrive in a healthy environment. Therefore, we’ve made it our mission to help families in all areas possible. From fundraisers, donations, community resources and assistance in any area we possibly can have access to. As the years pass we’ve grown stronger and the vision and desire for helping and providing support has expanded tremendously. As a team, we have placed so much dedication in what we do every day. Growing together and seeing many of the kids flourish and become independent and fully capable little humans has been the fuel to keep us going. Along the way, the most important factor is to have a vision and when the right people believe in your vision and become part of it, magic happens. Strong teams create strong foundations and strong businesses. Therefore, your team has to believe in the vision, has to feel the passion and ultimately has to share the desire to serve.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Advanced Children’s Therapy is a pediatric based centers that offers the highest quality Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy treatment. Located in Palm Beach, FL. and serving families since 2016. We have created an environment where every child feels confident and empowered. We desire for both children and their families to gain all they can from their time with us, coming together to create a strong support system. Our desire is to go above and beyond our families expectations. It is our mission to enhance the life of our patients and support their growth mentally, physically, and emotionally into successful and independent adults. What sets Advanced apart is certainly the thoughtful consideration and the unconditional service we all as team members place into our daily routines. From community resources to in house donations and fundraisers we target every possible area to assist all of our families and their individual needs. We developed a sense of caring and loving environment where we all enjoy not only working but becoming the hope of many children and their families. We certainly love and cherish every little moment at the clinics. Families to us are part of the whole process and therefore we engage not only the children but the parents to participate in all activities and ultimately we become one big gigantic family and support system for the many families struggling in our communities due to the lack of information available. ACT team is nurturing and caring. We encourage growth not only for the child but for the families in general. After all, the more you serve others the more blessed you become. We’ve made it our mission to so support, care and be a valuable resource for our families and their children. I am extremely proud of the foundations I have laid for my business to thrive. It was certainly a crazy ride. But totally worth it. Being a young single mom of 3 beautiful children and building a business was the experience of the lifetime. Balancing work and family soon became hard and fortunately enough my own children and the many children we serve in our practice gave me the strength to continue despite the many challenges I had to overcome to create the business today serves over 700 Palm beach families. Over the years I’ve learned to appreciate more and more the gift of life. I went from not having any money to even buy school supplies for my own children to becoming an sponsor and donate each and every year school supplies and educational materials to local schools. I want the world to become more aware of the need to create awareness and educate society about Autism and the many resources there are to help and support families navigate through this processes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spot in Palm beach certainly is EAU Resort. Starting your day beachside and catching some sun rays poolside is definitely in the menu. But first, relax. You can spend a majestic day at the spa were the staff is top notch and the service is impeccable. A good brunch, is sure to be available at Stir were you can enjoy cocktails and a chill friendly beachside environment to give any day a marvelous feeling of thankfulness and relaxation. Into the night the resort lobby becomes the most romantic scene in Palm Beach. Overall Eau Palm Beach is simply my go to place for unwinding and centering.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Advanced Children’s Therapy was build in a foundation of love and service to others. Along the way the team and family we have created has been the key to the company’s incredible success. I want to certainly dedicate this shoutout to each and every single one of the therapist that have serviced our little ones along the years. My business advisor and mentor R.A has definitely become an important part of the growth process not only behind the company’s by my own. Jacyra Garcia and Dailyn Fonseca have been an amazing support system not only for me as a CEO but they’ve dedicated countless amount of hrs towards providing guidance and appropriate assistance to the many families walking into our doors every single day. Last but not least all success of the company is simply given to the fact that over 700 families trust our company every single year. The most special shoutout to all of those dedicated moms that each and every day come to our practice. The children have played the most significant role, their uniqueness and their unconditional love along with the purity of their gratefulness is the most joyful feeling. Is because of them that Advanced Children’s Therapy stands strong today and continues to grow.
