We had the good fortune of connecting with Martina Rosenthal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey through the world of marketing has been an incredible adventure. It’s definitely had its challenges, but nevertheless, it’s been full of invaluable experiences, knowledge, and overall inspiring company.
I take great pride in multiple of the strategies I’ve led which have boosted brand visibilities and transformed customer experiences. Evolving the digital landscape and managing teams is key to developing resilience in the ever-changing marketing world, while not forgoing your goals. Communicating effectively as a leader and conveying that unilateral message to the team is essential for keeping morale high.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Absolutely – One of my favorite new pastimes is exploring St. Pete and noting down some key places for when my friends come to visit me.
Here’s what I’d show a first-timer:
Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Dinner
I’d take my friend through a scenic drive along Coffee Pot Bayou, admiring the beautiful houses and waterfront views followed by dinner at “The Library”
Day 2: Downtown St. Pete and Coffee
Start the day with a visit to The Dali Museum, home to an impressive collection of Salvador Dali’s artwork. Then I would take them to explore Central Ave. and pop into “Black Crow Coffee” for a specialty coffee or tea. We would then stroll the charming streets of the Old Northeast neighborhood, known for its historic architecture. We could have lunch at “Birch & Vine,” offering locally-sourced dishes, and finish the day at Sunken Gardens.
Day 3: Beach Day at St. Pete Beach
Beach and catch the sunset at the iconic Don CeSar Hotel, known as the “Pink Palace.”
Day 4: Waterfront Dining and Art Scene
Brunch, anywhere on Central, walk it off by exploring the Chihuly Collection, grab an afternoon cocktail at Intermezzo.
Day 5: Nature and History
Spend the afternoon exploring the historic Vinoy Park Hotel and its Mediterranean Revival architecture.
Day 6: Museums and Breweries
Start the day at the Museum of Fine Arts followed by lunch at Green Bench. The Warehouse Arts District, it’s the new district to follow, and highly recommended to visit.
Day 7: Waterfront Parks and Farewell Dinner
Wrap up your week with a leisurely walk along the St. Petersburg Pier, taking in the breathtaking views of the city and the bay.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to recognize those who’ve given me countless opportunities and support throughout the years. Everyone who has ever challenged me, and encouraged me along the way, has influenced the type of person, manager, and professional I’ve become.
