Hi Max, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In 1985, the foundation of Addison House was laid with a determined vision to enter the world of luxury design. Our aim was clear: to curate an exclusive selection of Italian-made pieces, offering clients the opportunity to immerse themselves in a dedicated space, where they could interact with and contemplate Home Collections in person before making their choice and purchase for their homes or projects.

Our inaugural location in Doral marked the humble beginnings of Addison House. With a small dedicated showroom, offices, and a passionate, close-knit team, we embarked on a journey fueled by an entrepreneurial vision and an unwavering passion for design and architecture.

During the early stages, we fostered partnerships with American brands, specializing in classic and contemporary design styles. This marked the inception of our journey towards collaborations with prominent Italian brands, laying the foundation for our future endeavors.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Addison House, we embody the essence of luxury living through our curated selection of Italian-made pieces and innovative designs. With a relentless dedication to sophistication and exclusivity, we strive to redefine the art of luxury living, elevating spaces with timeless elegance and contemporary allure.

With over 40 years of experience in the Luxury furniture market, Addison House has set the standard for Luxury Living and is the go-to source for high-end FF&E. Representing over 100 premier furnishings manufacturers primarily from Italy and Brazil, Addison House has made a name for its own by offering a white glove service, sophisticated furniture lines, lighting & accessories. Our showrooms in Miami Design District, Aventura & Doral offer services for the trade, hospitality sectors, developers, and home owners.

Scaling a business presents formidable challenges. To expand, we needed to establish new locations to cater to a growing market. In 2004, our second showroom in Aventura was unveiled, strategically reaching out to clients further north. The Design District location, launched in 2017, stands as a testament to our commitment to showcasing the most innovative designs.

Scaling our team and expanding with new showrooms demanded tenacity and strategic decision-making. Overcoming these challenges was made possible through the unwavering support of a team that shared and embodied the vision of Addison House.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
