We had the good fortune of connecting with Meno LeBond Limontas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meno LeBond, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
What was my thought process behind starting your own business?

It was like a no-brainer that I would be an entrepreneur. As a child, I always felt that I wanted to be my own boss. I was a creative child and have always found ways to solve problems. As I grew up and started working in retail. I experienced in the real world with real world problems, I soon realize that it was not or me. It seems like no matter what you did or how hard you worked, they wanted more or was never satisfied.

I started my first business J’adore Beaute, a handmade holistic skin and hair care line. It was difficult and scary to step out on my own, but health and beauty was my passion.  I’ve always applauded people who take a risk to start their own business. Even if they fail, at least they tried. For me, failure was not an option. I use my fear as fuel to achieve my dreams.

Knowing that I created something that people like and am getting great reviews, just fuel my fire even more. I expanded my beauty line to include affordable high fashion accessories, in Bourgeois Luxe Boutique, an online boutique. I always believed if you have the right accessory, it will make any outfit the right outfit. I was very successful with these two businesses.

In 2017, I had to put my businesses on pause. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I was her only caretaker. After my mother has passed in 2019, I moved to south Florida. With the help of my mentors (Jennifer  Demeritte and Marie Lumbart) and self-reflection, I was able to reset, revamp and reconstruct my life.

Being a self-taught herbalist and a certified nurse, I took my knowledge of health to help. A desire I inherited from my mother; she was an amazing nurse.

I researched cosmetic recovery homes and realized that they were a dime a dozen in south Florida. Many of them do not have any licenses or oversight. Many of my friend had bad experiences in these recovery homes. I wanted to change that. Through personal experience, I know the healing process after cosmetic surgery. Although it will be different for everyone, having the guidance of someone who went though it before is invaluable.

After offering my post cosmetic care services to a few of my friends, I decided to add this of my repertoire of beauty businesses.  Beaute Luxe Recovery was established. Beaute Luxe Recovery is post operative cosmetic surgery company that offers concierge and at home services to those desiring to recuperate from surgery in a calm home like environment. Beaute Luxe allows the patient’s sole focus to be on healing. The journey of healing can be exhausting. I am a big advocate of self-love and I see this in my clients after their cosmetic surgery. They are filled with confidence, and I want to be a part of that transformation. I take great pride in taking care of people and being an entrepreneur.

Sidebar I also have a podcast called
The Blaq Sheep Podcast
created by 2 underdogs (Blaq sheep ) will cover ALL TOPICS. RAW and UNFILTERED.

My hopes is continue to grow Beaute Luxe Recovery and to relaunch J’adore Beaute and Bourgeois Luxe Boutique.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an entrepreneur to me is having a sense of freedom and seeing what you planned and that you dreamed about come to fruition for years I worked in the customer service but you have to deal with different personalities and problem-solve . What I realized that I did not want to work for other people I have experience in same people give they all at a job…. and getting the recognition for the dedication at that job. I used to work for a company for years and I was very dedicated to that company. When I decided to go back to school it was a problem for them and they found the any reason to try to let me go. When I experience happened to me that’s when I realized that I need to take caution to the wind and follow my dreams. My brand overall I want to let people know that you could shave your dreams and Conquer your fears.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Believe it or not anywhere I go with my friends I’m always the life of the party or even just being in my house we have The Best Time Of Our Lives so if I had a friend that came for a week we will have to do a spa always time for a facial in a deep tissue massage mani and pedi and a walk on the beach. But me and my close friends have a relationship we could be in the same room and have the time of our lives with nothing else to entertain us

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Marie Lumbart ceo of Selfsome Wellness , Jennifer Demeritte, Miss Rama and everyone who has supported me… all my customers ( Beaute Warriors , my Bougie chicks) and clients ( My luxuries)
