Meet Miami Beat Wave | Music Producer & Audio Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miami Beat Wave and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miami Beat Wave, what inspires you?
Life, my muse, other peoples stories and just watching what’s going on in the real world. I can create a piece of music about my own life or what’s going on around me and even someone elses life. As long as I can feel it and it relates to me!!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
MUSIC PRODUCER/AUDIO ENGINEER 3x Billboard Charts | 2x German Dance Charts I’m a record producer & audio engineer and full-time therapist to all my artists. I was born and raised in Miami Dade County weighing in at 8 pounds. My background is half Cuban half Syrian. When I was younger, my mother would tell me “If you could study school books the way you remember music lyrics and melodies you could go to Harvard.” Honestly, it would be because I never wanted to do anything else but work on music. It’s been my passion since my grandmother played organ int he church for 20 years and taught me how to play piano and eventually get me to join an orchestra band. Later in life while all my friends were out doing what a typical 15 years old does, I was putting together a home studio in my bedroom. Fast forward to my college years, I decided to go to Full Sail University where I received my Recording art degree. I came back to Miami and started a Studio instead of becoming an intern (the standard thing to do) and that began the real journey. Production credits and collaborations include artists such as Dead Prez, N.O.R.E., ¡Mayday!, Skyzoo, Ras Kass and Locos por Juana. Miami Beat Wave also produced tunes for Sizzla, Killer Mike, Crooked I & Joel Ortiz on Dj Efn’s “Another Time”. Add to the roster tracks such as “Church Road” Ft. Pos of De La Soul on Wrekonize album “The War Within” and “Dancing With The Devil” on the released Bernz album, both achieving placement in the Top 200 on The American Billboard Charts. After linking up with German producer team “Crushboys” to create new singles, Miami Beat Wave’s EDM tracks swiftly moved beyond a local level to an international level. The first two singles MBW created alongside of Crushboys, “In Your Rhythm feat. Miami Beat Wave” and “In The Vip Ft. 2nyce” made it to the DDC Top 40 Charts in Germany with “In your Rhythm” placing at #49 and “In The Vip” hitting #18. Currently, I’m working on R&B Singles with David Correy producing and writing. This year, together with Chris Dean, David Correy & Gordo Brega we just hit 1 Million streams for the entire Algo Nuevo album. In the works, I’m also producing all of 2 x grammy nominee Itawe from Locos Por Juana solo album. Last, Miami Beat Wave just recorded the #1 top fitness hip hop album Workout II from Stic Man of Dead Prez.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well given I’m from Miami I would be able to accommodate my friend with pretty much anything they could possibly want. Food wise they would mostly want some kind of latin food so we could easily go to Sergios. Party wise we can always hit wynwood and go to Wood Tavern or brickle and do Karaoke at Sweet Caroline’s. If they want to club club then of course we could hit up south beach and get more of the tourist vibes. Then back to work at studios like Rebel 11, House Of Dreams, Studio 405 & Flowstate.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve had plenty of collaborations with artist through out the years which has made Miami Beat Wave what it is today, shout out to everyone who has been involved even if very small. Shout out to all fans and people that have believed in me, you guys still inspire me everyday. Shoutout to my immediate family for helping me be a entrepreneur and support a dream that seemed impossible. Most importantly shoutout God for blessing me with this amazing talent I get to share with the world!!
