We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Girgenti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Early in my career I was off balanced for sure, especially looking back and especially spiritually. “Balance” was nonexistent, I was a 100% self-centered and only had eyes for myself where as now I have my eyes set on the Lord and others. Grateful for the experiences and excited to see what path Christ keeps me on or puts me on.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At this moment I’m trying to be better, and draw closer to God. No one’s perfect but the Lord knows your heart. Seeking him is what we’re called to do. Like my friend Mr. Jimmy Miles says, “Make sure you pray because not only does the Lord hear your prayers, your prayers will not be returned void”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I don’t do the nightlife scene much anymore but who doesn’t love some good food. I keep things simple so based on what they like, I would roll the dice on whatever is close or recommended from a friend. Lately I’ve been very intrigued with visiting local Catholic Churches in various towns. They’re truly Heaven on Earth.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wanted to shoutout the whole Thorn Tour Team!! With special love to John & Sarah Bolin for creating such an uplifting environment. This is my second tour run this year with “The Thorn” and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to participate in this play. For anyone unfamiliar to The Thorn, it is a nationally touring live experience of the Passion of Jesus. It’s currently happening this Fall 2024 from September 10th – October 24th.
