We had the good fortune of connecting with Miguel Montes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miguel, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
To be honest is not an option is just that we need to keep going even if i think about giving up in a daily basis. I’m not going to lie i think about giving up almost everyday but i just can’t give up, i know that Aster Media Group is helping lots people with the right message , I have my kids and wife looking at me and they motivate me with all their support , sometimes we give up without understanding that is part of the process and to be honest in my process at this moment there is no giving up their is more positive music to produce and distribute.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Lets talk on what make me different from others that’s easy i work and produce whoever not worry about numbers ( views and like ) i mention this because our industry is all about that. i like to work with talented people that have the will to work hard. i get very excited when i see an artist growing as a person but at the same time as an artist and by default their numbers will grow , i got where i’m at learning and working like no tomorrow like i tell my artist we probably wont be the number one but we will work like we are the number 1, is not an easy in the process a lot of people suffer including my family , my friends and myself.In this process i learned to overcome challenges trusting God and that i’m doing this to be able to bring more good to the people. In this process i have learned that i can’t control anything that i need to adapt and keep going. At the end of the day i want people to remember Miguel Montes and Aster Media Group as the company that help us bring good and bring a positive message to the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I probably won’t have a week off with so much work but let’s do this. First  we are going to some sport event that could be basketball , football or even car racing this is during the week for sure, to eat some good spanish food in the area i’m not picky so any spanish restaurant just to try different ones, for sure over the weekend well starting thursday we start hitting stand up comedy  shows and some local events ( small concerts ) in the area to have fun but at the same time for me to listen to new talent and see what people are vibing too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
i will shoutout every single person that believe in me understanding that all i had was a will to do good. Andre Mullen was a mentor for me teaching me all about the music business , my wife for always pushing me to follow my calling and not giving up on me , but i have to shoutout all those artist that believe that we ( Aster ) were capable to  take their music to another level. Rupert was that first one that always said yes lets do this bro and for that thanks my friend.
