We had the good fortune of connecting with an award-winning South Floridian Photographer & Videographer Misha Guseynov and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Misha, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my business is the philosophy that my team has established early on. We have identified our top 3 most important values and stuck by them to this day to provide the best experience for our clients.

Our values are:

Quality – we create jaw-dropping photos & films everyone will talk about

Speed – when we say “fast,” we mean it. Expect results only weeks (if not days) after your wedding

Communication – we want to be a part of the entire wedding experience from beginning to end. We will be a guide to help you plan your wedding as well as direct you (if needed) to capture those EPIC shots!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s definitely been a journey and I am extremely proud of my team at Quality Media where we are today.

In the process of growing, we had an opportunity to work with big brands like Amazon and celebrities including New York Yankees’ CC Sabathia.

On the other hand, we had a consistent flow of amazing couples who wanted us to take care of them during their weddings after seeing the work we have done in the past. Not long ago, one wedding client described me as an artist. I appreciate that title and pride myself in being a creator who uses his equipment to seize the moment that will last you a lifetime. I don’t see myself or my team members as button-pushers and am proud of how much value we have brought to every couple we have worked with.

One valuable lesson that I learned along the way is that quality work will always be compensated properly. Unfortunately, just like in any other industry, there are plenty of low-ballers and price-shoppers. When I first started catering to engaged couples, I was getting upset when people would offer to pay a fraction of what my prices are and seriously considered “shooting myself in the leg” by dropping my rates. Luckily, thanks to my team’s encouragement, I’ve chosen to stay strong and let our work speak for itself. While we declined plenty of low-paying jobs, my team was able to dedicate more of our time to clients who have a greater appreciation for our craft and let us become a small part of their big love stories.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would start our day going brunching at JB On The Beach in Deerfield Beach.

No matter what time of the year it is, the beach is the way to go. We would definitely spend a few hours getting cooked under the sun and I’d probably bring my camera to get some EPIC shots of my friend.

Right after, we could grab a little snack somewhere around Boca Raton. Specifically at one of the joints in Mizner Park.

After we eat, we would go see a movie at iPic. We would either grab dinner at the movie theater or somewhere around the area. Ruth’s Chris Steak House comes to my mind.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt – my mom (Larisa). She’s been my rock and continues to be an essential piece to the business. On the daily basis, Larisa helps behind the scenes editing the content we create as well as making sure we stay on track to become the most known wedding company in South Florida.
