Meet Misshelle Terrell

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Misshelle Terrell again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Misshelle, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
The Balanced Shop was born from a deep love of creativity and a journey of self-discovery. What started as a passion for jewelry-making over a decade ago evolved into a full-fledged business in 2016—though in the beginning, I was too shy to even sell my own pieces! With my mom’s support, I slowly built the confidence to share my work, and over time, my craft grew alongside me.
My background in an experimental high school, where I studied ceramics, technical drawing, and even electricity, gave me a strong foundation for working with different materials and techniques.
Later, my experience managing the metaphysical store Bagua Center in Miami deepened my connection to crystals and holistic healing, inspiring me to create jewelry with intention and meaning.
Today, The Balanced Shop, now renamed Missh Shop is a reflection of that journey—where art meets energy, and every handcrafted piece is designed with purpose, using ethically sourced materials.
Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Last year we came with a big challenge when signing up for community events in which most of them we were advised that they had too many vendors selling jewelry, that if we were able to make something else we could participate as they were looking for variety on their markets.
I was also facing the challenge of my social accounts being hacked and lost access to some platforms in which I had created a portfolio and database of clients that eventually lost.
Being a graphic designer an entrepreneur and crafter, I was of course up fo the challenge and ended up creating a whole new line of products crystal and metaphysical themed of recycled stationery and personalized novelty gifts such mugs, t-shirts to name a few.
Missh Shop, continues to explore new techniques, blending tradition with modern trends to craft not only jewelry but also personalized gifts that resonates on a deeper level.
