We had the good fortune of connecting with Mudit Lal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mudit, how does your business help the community?
At Devalok, we care about who we work with and what they stand for. The impact of design goes far beyond how things look—it shapes how people experience ideas, products, and change. That’s why we gravitate toward people building things that make life better in tangible ways.

We see our work as an extension of who we are. So when we take something on, it comes from a place of real belief, not obligation. In the long run, we hope to continue supporting bold, thoughtful ventures that leave the world a little better than they found it.

We’ve worked with a gut-health granola brand built on homemade recipes, helping people choose what nourishes them. A beverage company that brings probiotics into daily life through thoughtful products. A baby care brand that makes sleep and bonding easier for new and single parents. And a nonprofit that creates space for communities to reflect on technology, culture, and the future. These brands improve how people live, and we’re grateful to support that through meaningful design.

Each of these projects reflects something we believe in: that values should lead decisions. Design can quietly power a lot of good, and it often starts by partnering with people who care deeply about the problems they’re solving.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Devalok isn’t a typical design studio. We are a full-stack creative and strategic practice that works across industries—healthcare, parenting, tech, D2C, food and beverage and more. We’re building thoughtful brand systems, digital products, packaging, and everything in between. What sets us apart is that our work doesn’t stop at branding or design. We create ecosystems that work in the real world.

We’ve renamed brands when the name wasn’t serving the vision. We’ve stepped in to help set up supply chains when the packaging couldn’t meet the standards we designed for. We’ve worked with manufacturers, printers, and logistics partners across India and US to make sure that what we imagine on our screens arrives in a customer’s hands exactly as it should.

Our team reflects this commitment. We bring together people from top design schools and self-taught creatives whose craft speaks for itself. Brand designers, UX experts, writers, product developers, and operations minds—all working under one roof. This diversity allows us to solve problems across the board, from the first conversation to the final launch.

Getting here hasn’t been easy. We’ve had to make bold decisions and often take the longer, harder route. But we believe in doing the right thing for the work, even if it takes more time. And our clients trust us for that. We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built and the brands we’ve helped grow.

What we want the world to know is this: Devalok is here to change the way design supports business. We’re not chasing trends. We’re building something that lasts with care and with people who believe their ideas deserve to be made well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Actually, I would be the friend visiting.

I haven’t been to Miami yet, but a close friend highly recommends it, and I would love to visit someday. I’ve heard Brickell is a great area to walk around—good food, good people, maybe even a few surprise celebrity sightings. South Beach sounds perfect for a slow day out in the sun, the kind where you don’t check your phone too much. I’d make sure to visit Bayfront Park too, especially if there’s a music event. I love music, so anything with a good sound, rhythm, or live set will have my full attention. I’d probably plan the week around that. A few local meals, some long walks, maybe a bookstore or gallery if I can find one tucked away somewhere. Nothing too packed, just a good mix of energy and quiet.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I truly believe the values you grow up with shape not just who you are, but also the kind of work you do. For me, that foundation has always been my parents. They are the source and pride of the values I carry with me today — being grounded, staying close to people, and offering help where I can. Gratitude and community service have been part of our family’s way of life. Watching them give their time and energy to others taught me what it means to live with purpose. Their sacrifices and unwavering support for my education and journey have made everything possible.

As I grew older, I began to understand that decision-making is one of the most important life skills. Much of that has come from my Gurus — teachers and mentors through school, college, and beyond. Their wisdom and encouragement have helped me become more thoughtful and confident, not only as a founder but also in life.

Lastly, the journey would mean very little without the people walking it with me. I am deeply thankful for the Devalok team and the clients who believed in us when we were just a three-person studio. Our team is made up of creative minds who care deeply about their craft and share a commitment to thoughtful, high-standard work. And our clients continue to find us through word of mouth, which speaks volumes about the trust and connection we’ve built together. As a founder, I couldn’t ask for more, and as just Mudit, I carry all of this with pride and a full heart.
