Meet Natalie Coto | Licensed Esthetician & Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Coto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business was a decision I pondered over many different times in my career. I knew it wouldn’t be easy at all. I’ve worked at different spa chains and saw how they ran everything and I knew going solo meant I had to wear many hats if I wanted to succeed. Eventually, I had to just jump right in and have faith that I learned enough in the industry to build off of.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I was working at a brow bar, overwhelmed by sales quotas and expectations, when I thought “If I can do this for someone else, why not for myself?” So I saved up, took a leap of faith, and poured all my energy into my dream brand, Soul Skinful. This journey taught me that skill is important, but connection is what truly makes the experience special. I keep learning and growing to serve my diverse clients and make each one feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Brunch: Little Hen or Morgan’s
Lunch: Rice Mediterranean
Casual Dinner: Little Havana, Zaika’s Indian Cuisine or Flanigans (very florida, take the platic cup as souvenir) OR Duffy’s (sports and eat on the deck next to the water)
Breakfast/ Brunch: Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar or Sesame
Lunch: Pubbelly Sushi or Go Bistro (ramen/sushi)
Dinner: Sparrow Italia, JOEY , STK
Lounge: El Tiesto (dominican hookah lounge/sushi) Dante’s Hifi, Lagniappe, Magie
Activities: Dezerland Park, Plug-In Karaoke, Bowlero, Frost Museum, Volleyball at Hollywood Beach, Kayaking literally anywhere, biking in Oleta, Olfactory NYC (perfume making), shopping in Lincoln Rd

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to take a moment to recognize my hardworking parents. As a first-generation American, I owe so much to them. My mother, from the Dominican Republic, and my father, from El Salvador, came to this country with determination and resilience. They worked tirelessly to build a better life for themselves and for my siblings and I, and their sacrifices are a constant source of inspiration in everything I do. I also want to recognize my faith in God, for having faith in him helps guide me.
