Hi Natia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting NR Active was rooted in a deep belief that wellness is not a luxury—it’s our power. After nearly two decades in corporate leadership, I realized that true success and confidence start from within. I wanted to create more than just activewear; I wanted to build a movement that empowers women to feel their best — in their bodies, in their minds, and in their lives.

I envisioned a brand that integrates mindset, motivation, and wellness into everyday routines, allowing every woman to show up as the strongest version of herself. Fashion, for me, was never just about how it looks — it’s about how it makes you feel. With NR Active, I wanted everyone who wears it to feel confident, strong, and unstoppable.

This brand was born from a personal mission: to inspire women to embrace their inner strength, wear their power daily, and remind themselves that how they show up matters. NR Active is more than what you wear — it’s a symbol of resilience, vision, and relentless pursuit of becoming the best version of yourself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
NR Active is more than a brand — it’s a movement built to empower women to tap into their best selves. What sets NR Active apart is the deep intentionality behind every piece we create. I am most proud that NR Active was built with authenticity and heart. It’s not just about what you wear — it’s about how you show up. It’s about wearing your strength daily, believing in your journey, and embracing your story. The journey to get here was not easy. As a single mother and an immigrant who came to this country two decades ago, I built my career in the high-pressure world of corporate finance. After years of leading teams and building a career from the ground up, I made the courageous decision to pursue my true calling — to create a brand that empowers women around the world. The road was full of challenges — moments of doubt, moments of risk — but every obstacle reinforced my mission.

The greatest lessons I’ve learned along the way are:

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
After spending over 20 years in New York, I’ve definitely become a foodie, a fitness enthusiast, and someone who loves to travel, explore, and find inspiration everywhere — from restaurants to museums. Since moving to sunny Miami, I’ve completely fallen in love with the energy and lifestyle here.

If my best friend were visiting, I would start the day by taking them with me to a hot Pilates class — I love starting the morning with movement and setting a positive tone. Afterward, we’d treat ourselves with a little shopping and strolling through Bal Harbour Shops, one of my favorite places. Even if you’re just window shopping, the atmosphere is inspiring.

We would spend time exploring Wynwood with its vibrant street art, creative restaurants, and cool coffee spots, and of course, visit the Design District — a perfect place for fashion, art, and a little more inspiration. And no trip would be complete without a relaxing beach day — Miami’s beaches are the heart of the city’s beauty and energy.

I absolutely love brunches and discovering new restaurants — my friends always call me when they need recommendations! We would try a few of my favorite brunch spots and some of Miami’s incredible new dining experiences throughout the trip. Miami has this way of making you feel alive — the colors, the sunshine, the vibe. It’s the perfect place to relax, connect, dream big, and live life to the fullest.

Every day would be a beautiful balance of wellness, exploration, good food, and simply enjoying all the inspiring moments this city has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my boyfriend, Evan Seiden. Celebrating our one-year anniversary, I’m incredibly grateful to have a partner who is not only a brilliant entrepreneur but also a true visionary. Evan’s mindset, creativity, and relentless drive inspire me daily. He sees possibilities where others see limits, and his passion for building and innovating pushes me to dream even bigger.

Our relationship is a true collaboration — we read, we strategize, we share ideas, and we constantly support and challenge each other to grow. Having someone who believes in your vision as much as you do, and who contributes his own wisdom and passion to the journey, is a gift I treasure deeply. Evan’s encouragement, belief, and partnership have been instrumental in my own journey as a founder, and I’m endlessly proud to walk this path with him.
