We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Mighty and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly I wasn’t looking at it as a business at first it was just me having fun. Later on I realized I needed to market myself better and get more into the promotions and distribution side of things. Honestly it was exciting, it’s like starting a video game at level 0. The possibilities are endless and the excitement to see how far I go was overwhelming

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I make Nerdcore music plain and simple. You like anime? You like video games? Did you have to struggle to get to where you are now? Yea that’s who I do it for, because in all honesty that’s me. I rap what I live and I live what I rap. A lot of Nerdcore artists I wanna say don’t make music like how I do. I try to incorporate it in a way people who don’t watch anime or play video games can still vibe with it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely going to a couple arcade spots. I love glitch bar and tenth level tavern, those are my favorites. Nice drinks, greats environment and best of all, TONS OF GAMES. At some point we’d have to stop at tates comic to pick up some anime and nerd figures. I literally shop there like once a week, it’s an addiction lol. I can’t forget about the super anime store either, basically the same as tates, it’s just smaller and more specific to anime. Last I would say izziban, Korean all you can eat bbq. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to L3AF Gang, Shoutout THE DEN and Shoutout Soul Force. My bro koolahhkam was honestly the first one who really got me into the music scene in south Florida, L3AF Gang will forever be my brothers. Taught me so much music wise and introduced me to Alex, who is now my manager as well as owner of The Den. I met Soul Force online and now they’re like my Nerdcore family, they helped me tons with the content and anime rap side of things and I grew that much more. Honestly I couldn’t be where I am now without them
