We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicola and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicola, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started intuitively, my academic background has to do with Graphic Design, but from the beginning I started to push the limits. I seek to get involved in the conceptual and visual development of projects.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t know if something about me differentiates me, surely it does, it’s hard to say or at least rare.
If I feel that in my search I am genuine. I don’t do anything that doesn’t feel like it.
My process, the way in which ideas are manifested and articulated, I consider magical. The way that moment feels, is one of great satisfaction, an aesthetic emotion.
I find a joyful motivation when facing a project and its development. Begin to detect the essential elements that will be articulated to know its most important concept.
Then the visual part, a universe of infinite possibilities from which we must choose a few, the ones that work best with the project in question.
I like what I do, it is one of the most important things. It has its good days and its not so good days. Easy stuff is boring, I wouldn’t say it’s difficult, but human beings are a very complex species.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would start with a banana and a good coffee at home, surely watching the sun rise.
Then we would go for a new coffee with a croissant or toast, it could be at “Petit Papagayo”.
Then we could have lunch at “Papagayo” or “Standard”
In the afternoon we would surely go to “La Cumbre” to drink wine, have dinner at “La Vaguala”
Go back to Córdoba City and have a few drinks at “Francis”
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Since I was a child my friends were influential, they constantly fed and nurtured creative processes.
Skateboarding was and is one of the places where I found answers and drive to do what I do and the way I do it.
Eleonora, my grandmother, since I was little approaching art, leading me to connect with my aesthetic emotions.
My Mother and my Father, always by my side, making everything possible.
And today, on a day-to-day basis, I have a very interesting round trip with Felipe, my 11-year-old son, with whom I discuss visual and conceptual aspects, among other things. His fresh look and his criteria are a great reference for me.
