We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“My belief is stronger than your doubt” This is my constant reminder that adversity aids in growth not in failure. Over the years of learning my craft and working diligently at it everyday I have faced many obstacles and challenges that has made me better at all aspects of life not just running my physical therapy practice. As crazy as it may sound I have definitely learned a lot more through my failures in comparison to any of my successes. Any doubts that come through in my life whether it be my own or others just fuels my passion more and forces me to get out of my comfort zone. That quote has been my life motto and signifies to keep moving forward not matter what.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Alpha Physical Therapy and Recovery offers one-on-one individualized rehabilitation that focuses on optimal quality care for each patient. We strive to not only provide skilled physical therapy services, but also a well rounded approach to health and wellness by providing athletes and active individuals with exercise recovery sessions and stretching services.

What sets us apart from others is our promise to never make someone feel like they go unheard. Which unfortunately is what many patients experience in the medical industry today. From the moment they arrive we promise to never make them feel as if they are just another patient in a typical “factory” physical therapy clinic. With every treatment, we help them achieve their goals using a patient centered approach that is geared to ensuring positive physical therapy outcomes.

We are trying our best to change the outlook on Physical Therapy and help people understand that movement is medicine. There does not need to be in a never ending cycle of medical visits in order to figure out why someones knee or shoulder hurts. I am proud that I am trying to change this cycle and it all starts with educating and empowering everyone that walks into my door.

Q:How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy?

A: I don’t think business it self is easy but being a well rounded clinician has helped me be successful with my start off. I went to school for 7 years to understand the human body and how it moves not for business so it has been stressful but gratifying to say the least. There is still so much to learn and thats what makes it fun but also intimidating. One huge thing that I’ve learned is nothing is perfect and sometimes you have to just roll with the punches and keep moving forward with the bigger goal in mind.

Q: What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

A: That Alpha Physical Therapy and Recovery is not just another Physical therapy clinic. We pride our selfs on making everyone feel as if they are family. Don’t live in fear of movement there is always a way to keep moving and stay healthy. Don’t give up- you just have to find that right fit!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the chill vibe away from all the miami city lift. Miami is such a beautiful city has so many little things to do. If it was a itinerary I created we would be hoping from good places to eat like Bakan Wynwood and coffee shops like Blanca Concept Store or Threefold Cafe in the gables. Next on the list would be Miami’s beach’s to get some sun and relax!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow thats a loaded question! If I had to pick one person that hands down would be my mother. Without her I would not be who I am today. See, she has this special thing about her- she is the perfect mix of being extremely loving and caring but was never scared to strict and stern when she needed be. She is my absolute everything and as I get older I slowly start to see just how special and rare it is to have a parent that can prepare you for life but also be right there to catch you when life hits you the hardest.
