Meet Nikk Harris | FOUNDER / CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF “DRIPOSITY” & REAL ESTATE WHOLESALER

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikk Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi NIKK, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Since I was young enough to start thinking for myself. I always knew working for somebody else wasn’t for me. Not saying anything is wrong with the 9 to 5 grind at all, it just used to frustrate me every day listening to uptight managers and try hard shift leaders telling me what to do and what not to do and always feeling like I was doing somebodies dirty work to fatten their pockets, while I contribute to the labor and exit with the crumbs! Don’t get it twisted though, the entrepreneur lifestyle looks and sounds fun until you realize you left 8-hour workdays with time off alone to do 18-hour workdays 24/7 or you don’t eat! Even still, yea I might want to quit some moments but overall, I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I got my first job at 15, by the time I was 19 I went through about 15 jobs maybe more! I knew that life never clicked for me. I love being my own boss and I love the risk, and I appreciate the struggle and hard times trials and tribulations I have to go through on a daily to be where I want to be. When it’s all said and done, I would’ve built my legacy from the ground up and I think mentally that might be one of the biggest reasons why I started. Whether it’s through fashion with DRIPOSITY or through wholesaling real estate it’s something that I created and can call MINE.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
DRIPOSITY was born from a lifelong passion for fashion and its profound impact on personal expression. From a young age, I was captivated by how clothing could influence the moods, boost the confidence, and kind of serve as like a canvas for individual creativity. Fasion to me is more than about the garments. I believe it is a powerful tool for self-expression. In 2020, the concept of DRIPOSITY began to take shape. I envisioned a brand that transcended fleeting trends, one that embodied timeless style and adaptability. The name DRIPOSITY comes from a fusion of the word “drip” a term synonymous with impeccable style and “osity”, signifying a state of being. DRIPOSITY represents a state of perpetual fashion excellence, where style is always in season, regardless of what’s trending.
I’m nowhere where I want to be on my journey, but I am exactly where I need to be right now in this moment. It’s never easy, I always say if anything about the Entrepreneural lifestyle was easy, everybody would’ve done it, there’s a reason everyone doesn’t. It’s hard, sometimes depressing, heartbreaking and a lot of times unmotivating. Those are the times you have to pause everything and look in your future, envision your dreams and what your art can do for your life and really ask yourself, is it all still worth it? If your dreams are big enough the answer will be yes 100% of the time. I’ve had deals go sour, I’ve spent my last $500 over 500 times. You want to get through challenges? That starts in your mind, you have to train yourself to live on faith so crazy that its delusional. Everything in the universe when broken down to a science is moving on energy, so with that being said you have to shift yours! Move through life and act like the person you want to be. I coach myself to still act like a millionaire even with $100 in my pocket just because you cant pay me to tell me I’m not a wealthy man. Shift your mindset to who you KNOW you can be, your greater self. And watch as the universe slowly but surely puts you in position. I do it so much that my opportunities start walking through my front door. Thats how I get through everything. Every trial and tribulation. I know nothing in the world happens TO me but FOR me!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A weeklong trip with a best friend sounds like us going to Puerto Rico! It is a beautiful country with beautiful beaches and is a great time. I’d take my best friend to visit and stay in pitahaya. The cities are great in the day to get lit, but to settle down the vibes in the country are the unmatched. The last time I visited I had a rooster for an alarm clock and didn’t mind one bit. For some fun activities it’s always fun riding jet skis off in the sun setting ocean, going club hopping and bar hopping. They even have a lake that glows at night that you can swim or paddleboard in and the list can go on and on. I think in Puerto Rico its best to just be spontaneous and enjoy where the days take you. Still be careful though. The city of San Juan is also very vibrant and a beautiful experience, there I can say if you are young and love a good time to enjoy it to the fullest!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, above all and before anything else, I want to thank GOD my Lord and savior for all of it because without him I can tell you firsthand NONE of what I have created, accomplished and will accomplish is possible without him. I owe him everything. I also want to thank my girl for being front line supporting and helping me through everything I do. Shes right there always when I need her the most and the one, I can call on for anything and I know she will come through for me vice versa. I want to thank my family for all of their support as well. I also want to thank every last person that has ever bought clothing or property from me, and everyone who has ever reposted or got my name out there. You all are the true MVPs of my story because you aren’t obligated to anything. I look at you all as family and I love you even if I haven’t met you. Last but certainly never least, I’d like to thank everyone of my haters and doubters even the ones that just keep the thoughts to themselves like it doesn’t radiate off of them, you all are who let me know when I’m doing something right and are a key part to my success! Thank you for never believing and just freeing up more space so that I can keep believing in myself. Thank you for every laugh and side chat behind my back and to my face, you have given me unimaginable drive and confidence that I’ll always be grateful for.
