We had the good fortune of connecting with Noel Serra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noel, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I wanted to provide excellent service. I feel that many companies don’t take customer service as seriously as they should. Of course we provide an excellent walking tour led by professionals but before the guest arrives to the tour starting point, they have already experience excellent service. Great customer service happens again when the guest leaves a review, we follow up by thanking them for their time and business. In other words, we don’t just take their money, ask for reviews and hope for the best.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What makes me most proud of Miami Wow Tours are our reviews. I totally enjoy reading what the guests learn and enjoyed on our tours. It’s almost like reading a very cool letter from a close friend. Needless to say, we are most proud of our excellent reviews and awesome guests. After years of working in this industry, I have learned that people simply want a good time and value for their money. They want to be treated with respect, learn something along the way and feel appreciated as we all want to feel. Our entire brand is based on excellent service and entertainment value and I think we excel in what we do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Let’s just get something out there, I love visitors. I love when I have house guests and I love even more showing them around. I usually end up doing a formal tour of the city for them because, well, that’s what I’ve done most of my adult life. If my guests are visiting for a week, I make sure to visit one of our many fine beaches then hang out a local cool bar where they can absorb the color flavor of the area. Of course, a road trip to nearby Key West is one of those trips that are unique to the area and totally breathtaking. South Florida has a lot to offer so much is dependent on the time of year and the interest of those visiting.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I can think of many shoutouts because I’ve been in this business for many many years in various iterations. I enjoy self help material such as books and podcasts like Pulling Your Own Strings, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Be Our Guest, Selling the Invisible and others. I particularly enjoy and learn a lot from Disney training materials as I think they are the epitome of good customer service.
