We had the good fortune of connecting with Noelle Anzivine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noelle, how do you think about risk?
My company’s motto is “For the one’s who take the risk…” Risk taking is SO important. I encourage everybody to take risks in life. Taking risks and putting my fears to the side has led me into rooms with people and connections I did not think were possible! There’s an infinite amount of possibilities waiting for you outside of your comfort zone. Taking risks can be extremely scary, but I’d rather not get to the end of my life, not having reached my goals and thinking to my self, “what if?” Taking risks has brought me growth and has allowed to me to network with people who have added value to my success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Makai Swim, LLC is an inclusive, eco-friendly swimwear brand. At Makai Swim, we make swimwear for the soul searchers and the one’s not afraid to follow their dreams wherever they may take you! Our mission is to make everyone feel like their best, most inspired selves! We support body confidence and strive to make our customers feel beautiful and powerful in their own skin. Our goal is to encourage girls to never stop dreaming, while doing it in style!
So far, business has definitely not always been easy. In my personal experience, I have learned to fall in love with the journey. Challenges are necessary, in order to grow. I”m grateful for the highs and appreciative for the lows, because without them, I wouldn’t know perseverance and determination. If everything was easy, there would be no reward. I want to look back at the end of my life and be able to say, “I did that, I worked hard for that!” There’s something so beautiful about creating something and watching it grow! It’s really amazing to see things that were once just ideas, come to fruition. Mindset and the power of prayer and manifestation is everything!
I have a lot of exciting things planned for Makai Swim in the near future. I’m so grateful for where I’m at, but so excited for what’s to come for my brand!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would for sure take my friend hiking so we could check out the beautiful scenery! After that, we would get ice cream at my favorite spot! I would probably drive us to the closest big city to my hometown, which is Buffalo, NY, where we would spend the rest of the time. We would absolutely go see the beautiful Niagara Falls and I would show them the Peace Bridge. I would definitely make sure we ate chicken wings while we’re there because nothing compares to Buffalo’s chicken wings. The best part would be going to a Buffalo Bill’s football game. I would make sure my friend had the time of her life at the football tailgate beforehand, because there is truly no other fan base quite like Bill’s Mafia. GO BILLS!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly, I want to dedicate this shoutout to my sister and business partner, Olivia Anzivine. Ever since we were little girls, we had plans to start a business and build an empire together. I’m forever grateful that I get to live out my childhood dreams with my sister who has been by my side from the very beginning! want to say thank you to my dad for showing me what it means to work hard and build something from the ground up. I would also like to say thank you to mom for encouraging me to be bold, take chances and to not be afraid to put myself out there! This shoutout is dedicated to my sister and parents who have supported, motivated and inspired me. Even when my ideas seem super crazy and out there, they are always the first ones to offer their support, lift me up, and remind me why I started this journey!
