Meet Ober Delgado | Real Estate Advisor – Miami, Fort Lauderdale Area

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ober Delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ober, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and after a fulfilling decade in the corporate world—working in communications and public relations, which I truly love—I felt ready to pursue a passion that had been growing for years: real estate. My corporate experience gave me the opportunity to grow professionally, travel, build relationships, and, most importantly, create the financial foundation and confidence to take the leap into entrepreneurship.
Purchasing my first home was a true turning point. I fell in love with the home-buying process and became even more inspired by the potential real estate offers for building long-term financial freedom. That experience led me to start my own business as a real estate agent in South Florida, helping others find homes they love and guiding them toward smart investments.
While I see this as an exciting new chapter, not a departure from corporate life, I’ve spent the past two years fully dedicated to growing my career in real estate. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate the South Florida real estate market—especially in vibrant cities like Miami—regardless of if they’re buying their first home, investing, or relocating.
I know I’ll return to the corporate world one day because I genuinely enjoy communications and public relations—but for now, I’m embracing this opportunity to follow my entrepreneurial path and make a meaningful impact in real estate.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is all about helping people fulfill their dreams of owning a little piece of America—just like I did. I work with clients not only to find homes they love, but also to help them make smart real estate decisions that allow their money to work for them. What sets me apart is that I’m not just a real estate agent—I’m an investor too. I view every purchase through the lens of growth, value, and long-term potential, and I guide my clients with that same perspective. I understand the difference between assets and liabilities, and I’m committed to helping people build wealth through real estate.
Before stepping into real estate, I spent over a decade in the corporate world serving high-profile multinational and international clients. That experience taught me the importance of excellence, discretion, and detail—and today, I bring that same white-glove level of service to every client I work with. Transparency is my north star, and I pride myself on building trust and clarity throughout the entire process.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. The real estate landscape has changed—rising interest rates have created hesitation among many buyers, and there’s often a negative perception around timing. But I also see how this market creates opportunities. The savvy buyers understand that now is a great moment to negotiate and make strong, strategic moves. That’s the mindset I encourage and support in my clients.
What excites me most is talking with clients—educating them, guiding them, and demystifying the process of buying or selling real estate. It’s incredibly rewarding to empower someone with knowledge and watch them take confident steps toward their goals. I want the world to know that I’m here to do more than sell houses—I’m here to help people build their future through real estate, with honesty, strategy, and care.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love having a good time and creating fun, meaningful moments with the people I care about—so if my best friend were visiting Miami for a week, I’d make sure they got the full local experience! We’d kick things off in vibrant Little Havana, soaking in the culture and energy of Calle 8. I’d take them to The Pub Restaurant for a classic Cuban palomilla steak—seriously delicious—and follow it up with a scoop (or two) of ice cream from Azucar. If the vibe is right, we’d dance a bit at Ball & Chain, one of the most iconic spots in the area.
To enjoy the outdoors and meet some locals, we’d head to Margaret Pace Park for a round of sand volleyball with friends. Afterward, we’d refuel with some Venezuelan flavor—arepas or a cachapa—from Arepa Bar, which never disappoints. If our night includes dancing on a Friday or Saturday, the next morning calls for a recovery meal. That’s when I’d take them to Barzola for Ecuadorian encebollado—a fish soup we call “levanta muertos” because it truly brings you back to life after a night out.
We’d also mix in some tacos at Whiskylucan, one of my go-to casual spots for great Mexican food. And to wrap up the week with a bit of adventure and nature, we’d go for a bike ride through Shark Valley in the Everglades—beautiful, peaceful, and a total change of pace from the city.
To me, the best version of Miami is one that blends culture, food, music, and connection—and I’d want my best friend to experience every bit of it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a few people who have played a huge role in shaping my journey, and I’m so grateful for them. One of my biggest inspirations is my friend Daniel. Like me, he’s an immigrant, and watching the smart, strategic decisions he’s made in real estate has been incredibly motivating. He’s not only shown me what’s possible, but he’s also been generous with his knowledge, always willing to share insights and advice. His success lit a spark in me and gave me the confidence to explore this path.
I also owe a lot to my family. They’ve been a constant source of encouragement, pushing me to think beyond just being a real estate agent and to continue investing for my own future. Both Daniel and my family saw this potential in me and have consistently supported my growth, helping me believe that I could thrive in this industry not just professionally, but personally too. This journey has been fueled by their belief in me, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
