We had the good fortune of connecting with Omari Bernard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omari, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals” We all have goals that we are trying to accomplish, but many times in our pursuit we forget to really enjoy and trust the process. When lack of trust and enjoyment is present we rarely end up accomplishing what we set out to leaving us in a state of disappointment and frustration (amongst other feelings). We all would LOVE to accomplish our goals but what seems to be holding us back from this is ourselves. The process of becoming is what’s so transformative, The journey is where we learn from our mistakes, make adjustments, and grow so that we do not continue making the mistakes that pull us further away from what we are desiring to achieve. We shouldn’t be the same person we were when we started. Our mindset, perception, and outlook must change. If we take this approach, the destination will not be as important as the journey. The destination will just be the icing on the cake.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to travel all around the world helping people improve their wellness state. What I love about the journey is that it brings challenges, and in those challenging times it forces you to grow and be better. When that happens it catapults you to the next step. You transform into this new being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually which elevates you in ways you’ve been manifesting. I am very grateful to love what I do and be able to give and serve my gifts to those in need of healing. I’ve helped thousands of people reach their goals but what is even more rewarding is being able to build that relationship and bond in the process while supporting them through their endeavors. My specialty is in corrective exercise and postural alignment, so to be able to help those who live with back, neck, shoulder, knee, ankle and whatever other physical pain they maybe experiencing is rewarding in itself, and to be able to add the other dynamic of being a wellness and life coach is fulfilling all around. Through doing my own work and being able to work with others has shown me that no two people are alike, so strategy’s and systems will all look different. What works for me may not entirely work for the next person. What I love is that it keeps my role interesting to learn more about the person, what they enjoy doing, eating, and discovering their thought patterns. Furthermore, I am able to understand what’s going on more through a scientific level by diving into their medical history where then I can use all that information to create a program specifically tailored for their enjoyment. Not to say there won’t be challenges. Challenges are placed there for our growth and is a reminder that what we are doing is all worth it. I am all about personal growth. Working through the issue, not around it. This journey won’t be easy, but it will be 100 percent worth it especially when you have an accountability coach guiding you along the journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What I love about Miami is that there are so many things to do! At the same time that can also be overwhelming. So, I know my best friend. He LOVES to eat. So, many places we go will be wrapped around eating. He also loves nature so doing many outdoor activities will make his time here a successful one! Places to eat: – Jamaica Kitchen – Versailles – Fire Man Derek’s Bake Shop – Mister 01 Pizzeria – Akashi – Sports Grill (special wings) – Hungry Bear Sub Shop – Publix Sub – 3 Chef’s – Tropical Chinese Restaurant – Coyo Taco – Beaker & Gray Outdoor Activities: – running the key biscayne bridge – kayaking and paddleboarding in the key biscayne – a dip in the south beach waters – jet skiing in the keys and swimming with the dolphins – going on nature trails at Indian Hammocks and Oleta State Park, – workout at muscle beach – bike ride in shark valley – boat tour in the everglades Nightlife – walking around south beach, brickell, and wynwood and just jumping into something that just seems right for us at that time. Brunching is a must! Tap 42 is a good choice

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The road isn’t easy but it has been so worth it. The reward you get from the climb is so much greater on the destination that is continually changing as I continue to climb. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by such an elite group of people including my family, friends, peers, and mentors. A huge part of who I am now is my circle who continue to push and challenge me everyday. We grow together.
