We had the good fortune of connecting with Omi Diaz-Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omi, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’m pretty comfortable with risk. My husband and I started our agency when I was 8 months pregnant with our first child! Being an entrepreneur always involves some risk, no matter the circumstances. But I’m a big believer that you need to take some risks in life in order to reap the benefits. I mean, getting in a car involves risk, but it will take you where you want to go.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Diaz & Cooper is a revenue operations consultancy and Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner with a unique focus on helping B2B companies in aviation, travel, and logistics overcome inefficient systems and scale profitably.
Founded in 2001, by a husband and wife team (Todd Cooper and Omi Diaz-Cooper), we became a HubSpot partner in 2016. We grew from a boutique creative shop to a team of highly specialized RevOps strategists and certified HubSpot administrators.
What truly sets us apart is our deep industry expertise combined with a laser focus on results. We don’t just implement tools — we build revenue engines that help companies scale profitably.
We’re especially proud of the long-term relationships we’ve built with clients. Many come to us frustrated by disconnected systems, messy data, and underperforming tech stacks. Seeing them transform their operations, hit aggressive growth targets, and finally get ROI from their tools — that’s what excites us.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Like many businesses, we had to weather changing markets, technology shifts, and internal growing pains. We survived the real estate bubble when 65% of our clients were in that industry, and we overcame losing over 72% of our revenue in 2020 when COVID hit because almost all of our clients were in travel. It was after that time that we decided to make a major pivot from being a digital agency to becoming a full-stack RevOps consultancy. It was a bold move, but one that aligned with where our clients were headed — and it required letting go of old ways of doing business, doubling down on certifications, and truly owning our niche.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned is that clarity is everything. You have to be clear on your value, your ideal clients, and your unique process — and be willing to say no to the wrong fit. That focus is what drives consistent results for our clients and continued growth for us.
At the end of the day, we want the world to know that Diaz & Cooper isn’t just another HubSpot agency. We’re strategic partners. We’re here for the long haul, obsessed with helping B2B aviation and travel companies run smarter, sell more efficiently, and build systems that scale.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Miami for a week, I’d plan a mix of nature, culture, and some good old-fashioned local flavor. Miami has so much more to offer than just South Beach (though we’ll swing by there too). Here’s how I’d show them an unforgettable time:

Day 1
Check-in at a boutique hotel in Coconut Grove (quiet, lush, and artsy).
Dinner at Glass & Vine, nestled right in Peacock Park—open-air, tropical vibes.
Stroll the Grove’s banyan-lined streets and grab a nightcap at Barracuda Bar, a classic dive bar with charm.

Day 2
Start with cafecito and pastelitos at La Carreta in Little Havana. (Versailles is overrated!)
Walk Calle Ocho, check out Domino Park, then head over to Wynwood Walls to explore the quirky art galleries.
Dinner at Boia De—a hidden gem for modern Italian.

Day 3
A nature escape with a day trip to Shark Valley to bike alongside the alligators or kayaking at Oleta River State Park.
Then a chill evening with beach yoga or a sunset walk along South Pointe Park

Day 4
Hit the road early for a day trip to Key Largo.
Snorkel with dolphins at Dolphins Plus—conservation-focused and unforgettable.
Late lunch on the water at Snook’s Bayside or a hearty meal at Meat.

Day 5
Lazy beach morning at Surfside (chill and local, not touristy).
Brunch at The Surf Club (Michelin-level eggs Benedict and Art Deco glamour).
Wind down with a last walk through Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give my co-founder, partner and husband a big shoutout. Starting the agency was his idea, and he’s been the backbone of our success ever since. Pivoting from creative lead to CFO he has navigated the ship through a real estate bubble, two recessions, COVID and economic uncertainty. We would not have lasted 24 years in the industry without Todd Cooper in the Implementor role.
