We had the good fortune of connecting with Orlando Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Orlando, why did you pursue a creative career?
Since I was a teenager, I was interested in creating all kinds of allegories and designs until the art of the mola came into my life. I fell in love with its vibrant colors and labyrinths around my designs. Here began my career as a designer of my own brand of molas from my Panama.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

cada día visualizo el éxito que tendrá mi marca cada evento cada pasarela cada reunión de negocios que me llevará a éxito qué estado planeando para mi vida y sueño
quiero que el mundo conozca mi trabajo mis diseños el delicado trabajo de mis artesanas lo versátil y opulente qué puede llegar hacer mi marca rompiendo estereotipos y ofreciendo otro ver a la moda actual

every day I visualize the success that my brand will have every event every catwalk every business meeting that will lead me to success what have I been planning for my life and dream
I want the world to know my work, my designs, the delicate work of my artisans, how versatile and opulent, what my brand can do, breaking stereotypes and offering another view of current fashion.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I enjoy traveling with my friends to the beach and the mountains here in beautiful Panama we have tourist places like the Kuna Yala islands a jewel of Panamanian nature I also enjoy the city which is a little faster but it is at my pace

first of all I want to thank my tutor and aunt Arelis solano who has been a fundamental piece in my teaching as a designer in the textile art of La Mola to my dear artisans who are my companions in this beautiful work full of details
also to my family that has always been a pillar for me and my projects
