We had the good fortune of connecting with Synyana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Synyana, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
After my apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman I worked 17 years in this branch of industry. Alongside I always worked as a singer and songwriter. Later I realized that I wanted to concentrate on my music wholeheartedly and that I had different goals.

9.) Because I do music with passion and I enjoy it every single moment. I also like to dress up and to change my outer appearance
10.) I would like to write a real music hit and that even after a lot of years people will feel comfortable with my songs and that they will remember me as a positive person.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started working as a professional singer and songwriter in 2010. At the beginning I worked as a schlager singer. As a part of my career I played in a band and through this I gained some international experience. After two projects with my daughter Celine I started to join the world of pop music.
I realized very quickly that I liked that kind of music much more and also my voice came out differently. For me that was a way to unfold, to develope further and to explore. I became very creative and tried a lot of different things. My diverse facets caused positive and negative excitement in the media. If you join my different social media accounts, you will soon realize that I always look different and also my kind of music is not always the same.
I am very proud that I write songs on my own and also that I’m very ambitious.
Sometimes I act too fast, instead of sleeping a night to think about it. This creates chaos. But that’s just how I am. Always act fast, never wait too long. My life is always exciting. It makes a lot of fun. Boredom is a foreign word for me.
I always believed in myself. I think it’s important to keep an eye out and to search for solutions and changes of strategy even on rocky roads in your life.
My way was like a rollercoaster, an up and down. It was never easy. A lot of events let me stumble, once letting me fall down so hard, that I didn’t want to stand up any more. But I stood up and became SYNYANA (SYN). It was a total change , concerning me as a person and my music.
Through my excperience I learned that I must not be naive. The most important thing is to listen to your gut feeling and to make decisions on your own.
So far I was forced to hold back on the past! Don’t say that on an interview, don’t do that! The time is over. I have nothing to hide. Every human being, every musician has his story, whether positive or negative.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve been living in Florida for a few months and commute between here and my hometown in Austria. I would like to show my best friend this dream land. The US is so different from Austria. Not just the landscape but also the people here are so open-minded and positive. I would love to stay here for a lifetime. For me a dream came true. Some of my next goals are visiting New York and Las Vegas. My name SYNYANA even includes the shortcut NY.
