We had the good fortune of connecting with Phax 100 and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Phax, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
I’ve learned that you have to LOVE what you do to be one of the BEST to do it! Once you’ve realize that, you’ll know how much more you’re worth.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
You got artists like me (originals) and you got cookie cutters. I treat music like my wardrobe. If everyone wear the same Jordan 6’s today, I’ll rock the pumas. I choose different. No twinkies over here. Let’s take that same shoe and put my own twist to it. Same thing with music. I challenge myself to create a song with a beat I’m dissatisfied with. Go Hard… however… wherever… Delivery, Flow, Energy, Bars. Music took me away from where I was in the MOMENT. I’m doing the exact same thing for my fans. Creating the music is easy, But the music business is very challenging! What I’ve learned down the road is…. it’s about who you know and who knows you. Even if your music sucks, You can get exposure and make millions because of the connections/relationships you’ve established and good marketing and from there on, you’re making a bigger impact. YOU ARE A BRAND. That’s the best way to think about it.

N.D.L.P.S The Album is available on every platform btw.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Bayside! That’s one of my favorite spots to kick it in Miami. Right by the water, The scenery of the Port of Miami and City Lights and We definitely gotta hit up Fat Tuesdays and grab a drink or 2. We going to the city to a few mom and pop joints and eat some scrumptious seafood and soul food. Then we gotta hit the studio so they can feel the experience for a bit. Meet some important producers, and engineers.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give credit to the most high, without the most high I wouldn’t be blessed with this gift. I also want to show gratitude to my elementary counselor Ms. Goldstein, if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have the passion to write lyrics.
