Early on, I always had an eye for design and construction. While my father was a savvy businessman, he was also hands-on and very mechanically inclined. He could build anything and taught me everything about construction. On the other hand, my mom owned and operated a clothing store in the Northside of Chicago. She was the buyer and an entrepreneur with an eye for design and fashion. Putting the two together, here I am.”

If I had a friend visiting Miami, I would take them to some of the local spots that showcase the city’s vibrant atmosphere and diverse offerings:  Miami Beach: A must-visit destination known for its iconic Art Deco architecture.

These are just a few spots which provide a taste of our beautiful diverse Miami.

• The One Hotel: A luxurious hotel that offers a stylish and eco-friendly experience, with stunning views and various amenities.

• Four Seasons: Another top-tier hotel known for its upscale accommodations.

• The Setai: A five-star hotel with a blend of modern luxury and Asian-inspired design.

   • Osaka: A popular restaurant known for its delicious Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine.

   • Kiki on the River: A trendy restaurant located on the Miami River, with a chic and picturesque setting.

   Drinks:

   • Surf Club: A stylish and elegant venue known for its cocktails and sophisticated ambiance, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the Miami vibe.

Credit and recognition are also due to several important figures in my journey:

• My incredible parents: They immigrated to this country from Cuba with the determination to succeed. Their hard work and unwavering support have always guided me in the right direction and encouraged me to strive to be the best in everything I do.

• Ron Pavlik: He played a pivotal role in my career by being a remarkable and savvy businessman. As the owner of former Past Pavlik Design Team, a global retail design firm with major clients worldwide, he provided me with invaluable learning experiences over the span of 22 years.

• Retail industry leaders: Throughout my career, I had the privilege of learning from and working with esteemed retail chairmen, CEOs, and presidents, including figures such as Lord and Taylor – Marshall Hilsberg, Macy’s – Hal Kahn, Sears – Adam Lambert, El Palacio De Hierro in Mexico – Mr. Blanco, Hyundai Korea – Mr. Park, Dayton Hudson/Marshal Fields – Andrew Markopoulos, May Department Stores – David Farrell and Richard Tao, and Ripley Peru – Andres Calderone, among others. Their mentorship and guidance were instrumental in shaping my life and career.

• Travel and presentation opportunities: Working with some of the retail greats not only enriched my knowledge and skills but also provided unique experiences in traveling and presenting ideas to industry leaders. These opportunities allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.

And of course my wife and partner (Patty) and our talented group of Designers that have helped us grow to who we are as a company today.
