We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Verdule and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nancy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The MOST important factor behind my success is GOD. Without him giving me the idea to even start the business I wouldn’t be where I am today. Having faith and trusting God when he showed me through dreams what was to come down line has definitely been instrumental in how I move and all my decision making in all that I do .

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Noire Lux Beauty Bar is an up and coming beauty brand that is not just exclusive to women but is also inclusive to men. What sets me apart is me. There is no other me and the way I conduct my business and choose exercise my creative ideas is uniquely mine and mine only. What I most proud about is me deciding to step out of my comfort zone and doing the things I have desired to for a very long time my way. I got where I am today by trusting God in the process they were many things I couldn’t “see” and had to lean not on my own understanding but solely on my faith. Nothing that is worth having is easy but with God who strengthens I can do all things. The lessons I learned are be patient , don’t rush the process, be comfortable in being a student learn your craft and be adaptable. Be open to constructive criticism and mentorship from those who more seasoned than you. Don’t compare yourself to anybody else we’re on different chapters in our journey. To stand out from the crowd boldly by trailblazing your own path and avenues. Being authentically you for it is better to be an original than a copy. I want the world to know that if I can do it you can as well. Don’t allow anyone to tell you that you cant rise above your circumstances like a rose that grows from a concrete, nothing is impossible. If you can see it and you believe it you can achieve it. As far as for Noire Lux Beauty Bar its only up from here I plan to leave a lasting impression wherever my brand takes me so watch out world I’m coming!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What’s Miami without the beaches right so one of the first placed would be to take them ,to the beach not South Beach but more of the private less crowded beach spots. Brunch who doesn’t like bottomless mimosas take her to my many favorite brunch locations in the Broward County area. The W hotel for a nice spa day and oceans views. Grab some great food from the best tasting restaurants and whatever else comes to mind.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This may sound cliche but I have to first give the Almighty God recognition and thanks above all things. I have thank to the many people who from the beginning have supported me, motivated me, spoke life over me and business, and who pushed me when I hit those roadblocks. I would like to thank my parents Marie and Tertulien for never doubting me nor discouraging when I said I was no longer pursing my second degree and would pursue my business idea instead. My daughter Shaniya for being one of my biggest cheerleader and believing in me from the beginning. She has helped me in bringing bring so many of my creative projects to life she is my photographer, videographer and many more and I am grateful for helping me her mama in any way I have asked her. My day 1 squad starting with my best friend Lucy who has been such a supportive system in so many ways from us sharing our ideas and dreams of wanting to start our business fast forward to now we’re both entrepreneurs doing our thing our way. She has answered every question I had shared her resources with me and been there any time I needed her. My friend D she has been a confidant , a sister in love, she has been a straight chaser type friend who has pushed me and stretch me and doesn’t allow me to settle for anything less then greatness. My friend Felecia she has been so encouraging, motivating and supportive by giving me ideas on how to expand my brand. Always making me cry by sending me things through text to keep me going and willing to give a helping hand a any moments notice. My friend Jowana who was the one who nominated me to Voyage MIA for my breakout interview. We have shared our ups and downs in business with each other and much needed laughter. We have been cheerleaders to each other for time for every win and accomplishment and equally supported each other business endeavors. My brother Amos and wife Jas they have been such HUGE cheerleaders on every accomplishment and throughout the whole process. To every person who ever supported by buying my product, sent me encouraging words, shouted out my brand, spoke my name and business in rooms I wasn’t even in a BIG THANK YOU!
