We had the good fortune of connecting with Prana Branstetter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Prana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

It started when I had an epiphany after I saw a DJ in Miami. Since then, I’ve had a real passion for Djing and love working for myself.

I have always been quite independent… Working as a DJ, I get to make my own schedule and plan out my days to their fullest potential. This allows me time for everything, including networking and relaxing. Growing my own company allows me to put my creativity to the test and express myself in ways that other jobs don’t.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being who and where I am today was definitely not easy. I never took the easy way out. Shortcuts can only take you so far, so take the long route.

There were tons of challenges along the way. This industry is very competitive and you always have to be on your A game.

I want the world to know that I came very far not because of connections, but rather my mentality. I believe in God, in the universe and the energies that have helped me be at the right places and at the right times. I have to be thankful for my family who has always supported me along with my best friend and husband who has done everything to see me happy and enjoy what I do. Hard work pays off and a good support system plays a huge role when it comes to success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would say checkout Restoration Hardware at Rosemary Square for breakfast, grab some dinner at Grangers Grille in Delray, some tea at Yaxchee Tea house in Delray and then go out to the Hard Rock in Hollywood for dinner, a drink and some games. Totally not to see me play at the lounge, where I hold my residency. (Lol)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
@indiehousefilms! Jean Carlo Ramírez aka Indiehouse films is my brother who is extremely talented and deserves a shout out for his art but also his support. Check him out on Instagram!
