We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, what do you attribute your success to?
The number one factor in the success of my brand and business is authenticity. Without it, there’s only empty words and promises. Being authentic is the key to showing up in all parts of my own self and business. My business is an extension of who I am, so how I show up for me is how I show up for my clients, my social media, and my business as a whole.

We are our brands, and when people get a good idea of who we are, what we stand for, what our beliefs are, and how we perceive ourselves and services, they feel a connection. When we self-lead with confidence, people pick up on those vibes. Remember, people want to work with people – not an ideal, not a facade, not a manufactured presence. They want to work with who we ARE, not what we DO.

Trust is a key issue, and authenticity builds trust. It builds connection. It builds a sense of familiarity and understanding, and THAT is what pepole seek when they want to work with me. I have had countless clients tell me that they chose to work with me because of who I am. Yes, they get the services to produce the outcome they seek, but it comes down to that authenticity.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a spiritual mentor and guide, my role is to help spiritually-minded people to open up and expand their own consciousness in very practical and day-to-day ways. Whether you’re taking your first steps down the spiritual path, or you’re a healer yourself, we all need someone to help us along the way, to reveal to us our blind spots, and to teach and direct us. I play that role, and have helped many spiritually-curious people learn more about themselves and their own roles in their lives through different modalities such as shamanic practices, coaching, and divination.

What brings people my way is my authenticity, my down-to-earth energy, my humor, and my fatherly vibe. In fact, I have been dubbed “Spirit Dad” and that’s something I have taken and run with! There aren’t many older men in this spiritual space (at least online and on social media) and so it attracts those who want a different take or view of spirituality.

I’m excited about the possibilities of growth, both personally and business-wise. There are many new offers and services I’m planning to create, and will allow people from all walks of life to step into this space, financially and experience-wise. My goal is to make it easy for people to grow their spiritual lives, through approachable means.

In regards to the growth of my business, I’ve had to burn my business down the ground a few times, to rebuild and rebrand. Everytime I grow personally, I feel like my business needs to shift. Again, our business is an extension of ourselves, so our priorities and passions shift.

So that’s why I bulldozed a six-figure business into this new incarnation of spiritual work. I was a business coach, and I was on a roll, signing clients with ease and with higher-ticket prices. But I was feeling burnt out, and not as excited about the direction I was going in as I was used to. So one day, after a long time of inner battling, I made the decision – I would end the business coaching and step into this new spiritual realm.

I had some imposter syndrome around it. Who was I to do this? Would it be lucrative? Would I be taking many steps back? I had many questions, but I went full on with my intuition, and it’s been wonderful since. If you’re doing something that doesn’t excite you or light you up, then why continue doing it? People are drawn to your energy, so if your energy is less that high, they will pick up on it. So take leap – what’s the worst that can happen? Let your heart speak.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of so many folks and by extension, books and resources, that have influenced me greatly. I would say first and foremost would be the late Bob Proctor, who I had the pleasure of knowing and working with early in my entrepreneurial career. I am grateful for the impact he left on my life and the life of so many through his teachings and the way he lived his life.

Lately I have been a part of a wonderful men’s group that meets daily Monday to Friday, and covers everything from business to men’s studies to deep shadow work, and it’s been influencial in how I comport myself as a man and citizen of the Earth. So shout out to The Awakened Man group for all that they do.
