Hi Raffoul, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
To get warmth from a fireplace you must first put and light the logs, because if you wait for the fireplace to give warmth first to then put the logs, you will spend your life waiting in the cold.
What should our readers know about your business?
With a history spanning over five decades, Ajami Surfaces has been a stalwart in the ever-evolving world of the flooring industry. The journey began in 1968 when I arrived in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Under the guidance of John, a renowned carpet installer, I took my initial steps into a world that would become my life’s passion. My journey embarked on a remarkable trajectory with the first project – the iconic Boston Opera House. This early endeavor served as the foundation of a cornerstone of knowledge and experience that would shape my career in the Floorings Industry.
Late 1968 I moved to Miami and commenced my installation career as a helper to a subcontractor at Miami Rug where I endured the harshest of conditions. In 1971 I opened Ajami Carpet Company that became Ajami Surfaces. The entrepreneurial spirit and keen understanding of the flooring industry in general proved to be a dynamic combination that laid the groundwork for a prosperous journey that has span over half a century.
Today, Ajami Surfaces stands as a testament to our commitment and hard work. As a family-owned and operated business, it has blossomed into one of the most reputable flooring companies in South Florida. Our unyielding pursuit of industry knowledge has led to pioneering inventions and systems that have become industry standards, and one of our most recent contributions is the groundbreaking Magnetic Surfaces Solution.
In this ever-evolving industry, staying current on all aspects is critical, and Ajami Surfaces exemplifies this through resilience, innovation, and dedication to serving the South Florida community. As we celebrate 52 years in the business, we look forward to the next chapter, one that promises to be as dynamic and transformative as the journey that brought us to this point. The future of flooring is bright, and Ajami Surfaces is leading the way into this exciting era with our latest innovation “magnetic flooring”.
As I reflect on the remarkable journey of Ajami Surfaces, I’m filled with a sense of nostalgia and pride. Our five-decade-long legacy in the flooring industry is a testament to our persistence, unwavering dedication to our clients, and the desire to be the most innovative flooring company, is what differentiates Ajami Surfaces from its pears.
My advice to future flooring entrepreneurs is stay curious, embrace change, and never stop learning. Our industry is ever evolving. With creativity, a commitment to excellence, and a strong vision, we can shape the future of flooring and leave a lasting mark on this dynamic industry.
