Meet Randi Zucker | Property Management & Real Estate Investing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Randi Zucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Randi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It all started with a side hustle of flipping houses and condos, where I learned how to identify undervalued properties, bring them back to life, and maximize their value. One of the biggest lessons from those early flips was understanding who the end user is and tailoring the renovations to fit their needs. For example, when we were flipping condos in South Florida, we knew our buyers were often retirees and older adults, so we removed bathtubs and installed walk-in showers with handles to make the spaces more accessible. In single-family homes, we focused on maximizing square footage — sometimes converting patios into additional rooms — to appeal to growing families.
That same mindset — understanding your guest or buyer and designing around their needs — is exactly what carries over into our hospitality business today. When we created Isla Palma, starting with our Singer Island property and then Palm Cove in Clearwater, we didn’t just think about the property itself. We thought about the type of guest we wanted to attract, whether it was families looking for a beach getaway, couples seeking a romantic retreat, or a traveling nurse needing a safe place to unwind after a long shift. Every design choice and amenity is thoughtfully planned out to creating a memorable experience — not just a place to sleep.
That same guest-first approach is also driving our newest project — building our third hotel in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We’re bringing the same level of care and thoughtful design, but adapted to the mountain retreat experience — blending modern comfort with the charm that draws visitors to the area. It’s all about understanding what people want before they even know they want it — whether that’s a place to clean mud from their boots to hot tubs, or little personal touches that make them feel at home.
At the same time, my journey into real estate and hospitality naturally evolved into mentoring. I’ve always been passionate about helping others — especially women balancing careers and families. I can see you can build generational wealth through real estate, whether they’re flipping properties, investing in rentals, or operating boutique hotels like we do.
Starting my own business was really about freedom, flexibility, and creating a legacy for my family — but it’s also about proving that success in real estate and hospitality doesn’t have to follow a traditional path. Whether I’m sharing tips with new investors or designing a new property, it all ties back to that guest-first mindset and helping others succeed faster by sharing what I’ve learned.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets you apart from others?
Honestly, I can be too meticulous — a total pain in the butt sometimes — but it’s because I genuinely care. I don’t just sit back and hope things run smoothly; Adam and I will personally visit our properties, act like a guest or home buyer or agent, etc., and experience everything first-hand. I read almost every review — and I take guest feedback very seriously. I’m constantly pushing my teams to tweak our Playbooks and have the mindset that there is always room to improve.
What I’m most proud of is the teams I’ve built — teams that share that same passion for growth. It’s not just me; it’s a collective effort, and I make sure everyone feels invested, heard, and part of the bigger picture.
How did I get to where I am today?
By learning every single aspect of the business. From financial underwriting to property management to cleaning standards, I immersed myself in everything so I could build the right teams and work alongside them, not above them. We’re all in this together, and that mindset has been key to our growth.
Was it easy? Absolutely not. It took over a decade to fine-tune our processes and figure out what works. But the biggest shift for me was realizing that challenges are actually a good thing. Early on, every time something went wrong, I’d feel like I was failing. Now I know that problems mean you’ve hit a new level — they’re signs of growth, and they force you to build better systems. That’s been the biggest lesson — when things get hard, it doesn’t mean you’re failing; it means you’re evolving.
About our brand and story? Real estate and hospitality aren’t just industries to me. We’re providing homes, memories, vacations — moments that matter in people’s lives. I don’t take that lightly, and it’s why I pour so much of myself into every aspect of my business.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m the type of gal who likes the balance of adventure, nature and luxury so if my best friend was visiting South Florida, Singer Island would absolutely be at the top of the list — especially a stay at Isla Palma Singer Island! The beaches here are absolutely stunning and more private.
We’d definitely get out on the water, whether it’s a boating day exploring the Intracoastal, checking out Peanut Island for snorkel, or cruising to some of the waterfront restaurants where you can pull up by boat and grab a bite. There are also some gorgeous walking trails and nature preserves in the area, like John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, perfect for kayaking.
There are so many great spots to eat and drink nearby — Sailfish Marina is a must for fresh seafood and beautiful sunset views. I also love RH Rooftop in West Palm for something a little more upscale. And of course, a trip to Palm Beach wouldn’t be complete without strolling Worth Avenue, buying something at The Kemble Shop, and stopping by The Breakers for a cocktail.
South Florida has this amazing mix of laid-back beach vibes and luxury experiences, and I love giving friends a little taste of both when they visit. Whether it’s a beach day, a boat day, or a night out where I wear my high heels, there’s always something fun to do!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
No success story happens in a vacuum, and my husband, Adam, deserves a huge shoutout. He’s been my partner not just in life but in business, and having someone who shares your vision, work ethic, and willingness to take risks has been invaluable. We each bring different strengths — Adam’s finance and investment background paired with my design and guest experience focus — and that balance has been a big part of our success.
Beyond Adam, my entire family deserves recognition. Becoming a mom shifted my perspective — it wasn’t just about building a business, but about creating a lasting legacy for my kids. When our second child was diagnosed with autism, that sense of purpose deepened. It motivated me to build something that could support my family for generations, especially knowing we may face an uncertain future with his care.
At the end of the day, family is my “why.” They are the reason I work so hard, keep learning, and want to help others find their own path to financial freedom. I’m incredibly grateful for their love, support, and constant reminders of what really matters.
