We had the good fortune of connecting with Reina Kendall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Reina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Throughout every aspect of my life, I always come from a place of gratitude regardless of the circumstances. By focusing on having an authentic, grateful mindset, I have found that it not only leads to humility and success but it creates an internal clarity that is healing. Gratitude is also a positive vibration. Positivity is contagious so the more mindful I am, the better I can be at helping others do the same and perhaps discover their own success whatever that may be.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I created my brand Reina’s Raves in July 2016. Like many others, I was doing something I loved and wanted to share my insights from my experiences. I started as a travel and food blog and today, I write about fashion, supercars, my public relations career and I’m an “accidental” model. Very different than my start but not really. Essentially, I am a lifestyle writer and I share my experiences in the present but one thing I will tell you is that everything I do comes from a place of gratitude and I believe it’s that mindset that has allowed for my success and longevity. 2020 rocked many of us including myself and what I thought was my path. As the saying goes, “When the going gets tough, the Tough get going” and so when my high hopes for event planning and hospitality were crushed, I did exactly that. I got going! That’s when my modeling career began. Most recently, in December 2021, I cranked it up another notch and officially launched my own boutique, luxury Public Relations agency in conjunction with accepting the nomination for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year!
All in all, my career has been a fascinating ride thus far! Reina’s Raves is a beautiful brand because it’s honest, lighthearted and really about taking nothing for granted, rolling with the punches, laughing as much as possible and living your most authentic life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I Love where I live! There are so many Favorites on my list and that’s why I’m a huge advocate of supporting my local community. As the hostess, I would take my guest for a drive making several stops along the way. In no certain order over the few days, I would drive around the island of Palm Beach. Show them Royal Poinciana, my favorite “banyan tree” spot on County Road, pass by the Beach club (where I learned to swim), the Sailfish Club, the Breakers, St Edwards Church , Worth Avenue, Marina St Barth, Taboo, Bice, Via Parige, Pizza al Fresco, Green’s Luncheonette (Pharmacy), Trevini Ristorante, Meat Market and many more. I would also tour West Palm Beach. We have some of the best street art! Take them to the Ben, Howleys Diner, Grease, Bradley’s, Winston Nails, Primp Suite, City Girl Consignment, Kabuki Sushi, the 500 Block , Lynoras, Spruzzo and many others. Wow I may have to go for a drive today!
Thank you for this opportunity today. I enjoyed sharing my professional journey (to date) with all of You. As I mentioned earlier, I am truly honored to have accepted the nomination for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) WOMAN OF THE YEAR. This campaign is dedicated to my Aunt who passed away from Leukemia after what was s successful bone marrow transplant. In addition, although I did not have cancer, my health suffered very severely not too long ago leaving me in a critical state on two separate occasions. Through my experience, I learned how important it is to have access to medical specialists which can be a challenge without the means to afford it. My campaign goal is to raise money for better access and awareness. Please help me in this fight and DONATE today:
EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Thank you!
