We had the good fortune of connecting with Rishielle Giscombe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rishielle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Glamo was to help people that was in need by creating a convenient way for them to get a services done. In 2016 I started providing beauty on demand services for elderlies with the intention of helping them save time and help with building their confidence at the same time . I had no clue at the time that my passion to help people was going to become a largely needed tech company.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Glamo is a beauty on demand marketplace that provides clients with beauty professional wherever and when ever they want. We provide over 150 services that falls under the category of braids, extension installation, haircut nails and makeup.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like to hang out in freehold in Miami and visit island sips for my all vegan food on Oakland park . I like the taste of vegan food but I wouldn’t consider myself vegan

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
