We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Blankenship and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robert, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started WebFindYou because I wanted to help fix the tainted digital marketing industry and level the playing field for small businesses with small monthly marketing budgets to compete with larger companies with much larger marketing budgets. I also wanted to help bring more transparency and simplicity to the already complicated digital marketing and SEO process to help stop the vicious cycle of businesses jumping from one platform or agency to the next for their digital marketing needs, only to continue being frustrated and unhappy with their results and the money they’ve lost. This is especially detrimental to small businesses and has caused many businesses to no longer believe in SEO or digital marketing entirely. With traditional media on the decline, something had to be done, otherwise, the digital marketing industry would be negatively impacted forever. Now with the pandemic, companies worldwide are hurting badly and have even lower marketing budgets to work with. What businesses need is a simpler and more cost-effective means of doing digital marketing, and that is exactly what WebFindYou provides.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The mission of WebFindYou is to ensure that businesses are always on the right path of doing digital marketing the right way. It’s not about doing one piece of the digital marketing puzzle, but rather, all of them simultaneously, each supporting the other, in order to maximize the power of the Internet, and that is what we call True Digital Marketing.
Digital marketing is complex, time-consuming, expensive, and requires a team of experts to do it right, and sadly, it’s only getting worse. With WebFindYou, businesses no longer need different providers for search engine optimization, reputation management, email marketing automation, pay-per-click optimization, social media management, customer relationship management, data tracking and marketing analytics, etc. WebFindYou users have access to one single integrated technology that makes every step for your business, brand, and client more efficient and easier to implement and manage so they can improve their search engine rankings and maximize brand awareness, website traffic, potential clients, and revenues. All of this can be done with less hassle, reduced costs, and increased revenues.
Building a business is never easy. Overcoming challenges is what leads to growth and change. But if you truly believe in what you’re creating, then never give up. Stay focused and set your sights towards your future success. This is the foundation that accomplishing any goal in life is built upon. It’s also important to never compare yourself to others. If you are new to something and you are comparing yourself to someone with way more experience than you, then you might get discouraged. But the key is to remember that you have to be bad at something before you can get good at it. Keep plugging away, and eventually, you can achieve the success you’re looking for.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many beautiful and exciting places to visit in Miami. There is so much to do that it’s hard to pack it all into one week! But there are a few Miami staples that we definitely wouldn’t miss. Our first stop would be to the Versailles Cuban Bakery in Little Havana for some of the best pastelitos and Cuban breakfast in town. After that, we’d definitely make a stop at South Beach and soak up some sun before making our way to the Perez Art Museum and the Frost Science Museum to take in some culture. Dinner would be at Mandolin Aegean Bistro and then Brickell or Wynwood to experience the nightlife in the Magic City!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a big part of my professional success to my mom. She has always been an amazing guide throughout the years. She is my go-to person. Growing up, I was always really good at math. I considered going into accounting, but my mom knew computers were the future, so she suggested I give it a shot and I did and it’s paid off in spades. Without my mom’s guidance, there would be no WebFindYou. She always seems to have the right answers.
I believe one’s self is the culmination of all their past experiences. Everything I did in the past, whether it was a success or failure, has allowed me to better myself, improve my focus, drive, ambition, and knowledge, which has led me to where I am today—and that all began with my mom being my greatest fan and encouraging me to pursue my dreams.
