Meet Rose Moran | Marketing Executive | Founder Citizen Fare

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rose Moran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rose, how do you think about risk?
I think risk is needed in life. The saying no risk, no reward is trite, but true. However, the ability to take risks is also a privilege. I’m fortunate enough to be able to take risks, but I don’t take that privilege lightly.
For much of my life I was risk-averse or in a position where I couldn’t afford to take a chance. I stayed in my comfort zone. I lived the life I knew, but only sort of loved. After realizing I would not grow in my career or personal life without risk, I embraced it. Risk taking is scary and crazy and hectic and great and rewarding.
I think if you have the privilege to take a risk, you should. Say yes and see what happens. Whether the risk is big or small, it’s often worth it. And while you may fail trying something new, at least you tried.
Because I took a risk, I moved to Miami, met wonderful friends, and found the courage to leave my corporate job to pursue my passion. I started my own marketing firm, Citizen Fare.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder and chief creative officer of Citizen Fare, a marketing agency focused on helping companies and entrepreneurs clarify their marketing message and lean into their brand personality. Often businesses want to walk the line and appeal the masses. Play it safe. However, doing so, they’re inadvertently appealing to no one. Creating and showcasing brand personality through a clear messaging strategy helps develop connections with your clients. Our services include strategy, branding, copywriting, design and fractional CMO consulting.
Creating a business is always full of challenges. No matter the obstacle perseverance is key, and moving forward will set you apart.
I’d like the world to know that I (and Citizen Fare) care. I’ll always try to do what’s right for our clients and place the team before myself. Without your team, you’ve got nothing.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love food, and I love to eat. I’d recommend River Oyster Bar, Sexy Fish, Novikov, Casa Tua, Bakan, Luca Osteria, Seaspice. Go on an never-ending dinner date. And, of course go to the beach. The best beach, in my opinion, is at South of 5th.

We’d eat all the food. River Oyster Bar, Sexy Fish, Novikov, Casa Tua, Bakan, Luca Osteria, Seaspice. We’d go on an never-ending dinner date. We would of course have to go beach. the best beach, in my opinion, is at South of 5th.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout our Natella Khaleel. She’s a great friend, business partner (Miami Moms Society), and a huge encouragement to me.
I also want to shout out David Sedaris. If you’re reading this David (I feel like I could call you David…) your writing encouraged me to be me and appreciate the brilliance and humor in the everyday.
