Meet Ryan Arnaiz: Nutrition store owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Arnaiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I used to work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, by myself for 10 years. I thought I had to do it all myself to reach my goals. I realized I was just burning myself out, and doing damage to my physical, and mental health. You can’t sacrifice other values, and your time in an unbalanced way. You can’t get your health, and time back when it’s gone. Money can’t buy that back. I’m much happier now finding: time to read, write motivational quotes to post, meditating, spending time with people I value, and doing other things I like. I also made sure I found a way to do these things, while implementing a good system where my clients still received the same value for their visit to my store.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m always trying to improve how my clients can reach me, and get them what they need. We’re only closed on Christmas day, open 74 hours a week, have our own all natural brand of supplements, do curbside pick up, home delivery with our van, order our products on our website, plus walk ins. I have every form of social media, a separate nutripro cell phone I carry with him, and email for clients to reach me. I read, and answer every question. I studied exercise physiology and nutrition to better serve my clients. It’s never easy to succeed. The goal is to make things easier for your clients.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Gotta go to Miami Beach for some sun and see the ocean. Go to the Improv comedy club in Doral, brunch at Bistro Cafe. Calle 23 for drinks on a Friday night in Coral Gables, Tiger Tail and Mary for dinner in coconut Grove. Walk around the shops at the Design District. Go see art at Wynwood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first worked for Bert Vila, which owned Nutripro first. I learned from him how to run a nutrition store. The first book i read that helped me with business was “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. That mentorship, and first book got me headed towards knowing that I wanted too, and also how too run my business.
