Hi Sabrina & Johnathan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success is consistency and planning. Since launching our TikTok in January 2024, we have posted twice a day, every single day, without missing a beat. This level of dedication has not only helped us grow but has also built trust with our audience.

Beyond consistency, we prioritize creativity and relatability. We constantly brainstorm fresh, funny, and engaging content that resonates with people’s everyday lives. Our ability to balance book-related content with humor and real-life experiences has allowed us to stand out in a crowded space.

Additionally, teamwork and organization have played a huge role in our growth. We use shared notes and Google Docs to plan content, and we hold regular meetings to refine ideas and stay ahead of trends.

Lastly, our drive comes from our passion for storytelling and connection. While we both work full-time in healthcare, we are committed to expanding our brand and reaching new audiences. Whether it’s transitioning to YouTube Shorts or exploring new content formats, we’re always evolving while staying true to what makes us unique.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since we started our TikTok journey in January 2024, our focus has been on connecting with others through books, humor, and relatable content. This year, we’re excited to expand our presence alongside BookTok by exploring other areas like lifestyle content. It’s a step we’re really looking forward to, but it’s definitely not without its challenges. Both of us work full-time in healthcare, so juggling our jobs with content creation can be tough. Coming up with fresh ideas and syncing our schedules to film together on the same day is something we’re constantly working on. Through all of this, we’ve also realized just how important our friendship is. While we’re passionate about growing our channels, we make sure not to let stress over uploading or content creation affect our relationship. We’ve learned that balance is key and that we always need to support each other, no matter how busy things get. Despite these challenges, the biggest lesson we’ve learned is the power of consistency and organization. Even when life gets hectic, we stay committed to what we’ve built because we know how important it is. We’re proud of the growth so far, but we’re even more excited for what’s ahead, both in the world of books and beyond. What we want people to know is that we’re a team that works hard, supports each other, and stays true to who we are. Our story is just beginning, and we’re eager to see where it takes us.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d love to give a shoutout to Ana Huang and Freida McFadden for reigniting our love for reading.

For me (Sabrina), picking up the Twisted series by Ana Huang reminded me how much I enjoy getting lost in a good book. I’ve always loved reading as a kid, but I really got back into it during undergrad, and that series played a big part in that.

For me (Johnathan), after graduating college, I started spending more time at Barnes & Noble and came across The Housemaid by Freida McFadden. That book pulled me in and made me want to read even more.

Both authors have been a huge inspiration to us, not just as readers but as creators in the BookTok space. Their storytelling has fueled our passion for sharing books with others and building a community around reading.
