We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha da Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I believe that there are certain personality qualities that come with oneself from a very young age, and being an entrepreneur is one of them, the virtues of independence and leadership were always in my identity. Therefore, even though I have had good position jobs in many companies, my mind and my path always led me to be creating projects on my own. Personally, I just always felt like it was my path, the one I needed to evolve and feel in fullness with myself, the one that would make me feel happy by giving me the control of my own times and the comfort I feel when placing myself in the position of a leader, creator, and making decisions for myself. Being an entrepreneur for me just always meant freedom, which was the prevailing thought in my mind that gave me the courage to start my own business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My greatest challenge has been combining two industries that I am passionate about: aromas and perfumery, with Tarot and spirituality. My creations are aromatherapy products, intended to have a positive effect on people. Each aromatherapy collection is inspired by a Tarot card, meaning that each smell is designed with a mix of specific essential oil notes to evoke the energy that each collection proposes. Considering these two industries to which my business belongs, what people probably don’t realize is the great impact that could have taking a moment to connect with oneself, to breathe deeply, and feel present by this practice. That is the real purpose of my products, and that is why I called them “ritual products”. It is about a ritual with yourself, a time of inner connection.
Another thing I like to let my clients know is that they don’t necessarily have to understand about Tarot to connect with my brand, as most of us have a biased concept of its meaning. The mission as a brand is to share the beautiful teachings and life lessons that Tarot has, the true meaning behind each card. For me, the idea of Tarot as a predictive tool is merely anecdotal, but understanding Tarot in depth could provide life teachings that can transform and elevate our consciousness.
About starting my own business: I believe that more than thinking about working for myself, it has been a bigger decision to align myself with my life purpose. Being conscious about searching for what I feel is my purpose in life. Through my vision, success comes from identifying your gifts, what you can contribute to this world and what makes you different along with the things you are good at, is the key to a successful project. Learning to connect with intuition first and then combining it with logic, it will definitely lead you to achieve everything you set out to do.
The vision of my brand is to provide tools to live a conscious, coherent life according to what we wish. Share all the tools that I have learned in the spiritual path for the connection with oneself. Share resources about the symbolic language of the universe. I have a deep desire that all people can align to a more conscious life and find a deep purpose for them, deciding to align with it. We all came to this Earth plane with gifts to explore, create and share. We all have the gift of connecting with something bigger than ourselves. We just have to work hard consciously and have the will to evolve as human beings with a lot of faith and love.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely the first thing I would do is take her/him to a meditation on the beach, with incense and flowers. My fav beach on Miami is Naples, is a peacefull place with a great sunset, so probably we’ll be 2 or 3 days there.
If it is my best friend, he/she sure will love fashion as I do, so a must would be Design District, Dior coffee, or Sofia restaurant in Design shopping.
We could enjoy a rooftop like Fabel any night, and a dinner with fantastic show like Sexy Fish.
Frost Museum is a different funny thing to do at the list.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
On this path, spiritual help has been essential for me. I have had many coaches and great teachers, and I am still learning with them. They have given me the exact information and Divine guidance at the exact moments that I needed to heal or grow and evolve, I want to thank all of them for transmitting all their knowledge to me.
