We had the good fortune of connecting with Samuel Alphonse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samuel, what matters most to you?
The value that matters most to me is putting God first in every outcome in my life. Why? Because I can’t do nothing without his wisdom to my direction, his strength to my endurance, his patiences to my process and his motion of humbleness to my encouragement. God is everything and I give him thanks for all he has done in my life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There’s a photographer I know that said something that stuck with me for a long time. He said “Man your photos are amazing, you have an eye for this. Most people take photos but you capture stories”. What he said to me, truly define what Image Revive stands for. I want people to see the reason to a moment that’s legendary not temporary. I want people to see what God created, not just a body but a soul that carries expressions, moods, character and a direction. I want people to not hide or run away from their imperfections but to appreciate them to truly understand their selves.

My greatest challenge is knowing my niche in photography. If you didn’t know, photography has many streams that deals with commerical, product, beauty, food and etc. I really needed to know what’s going to stand me out from all other photographers, so I fell in love with beauty photography. Don’t get me wrong I’m still a working process. I still have a lot to learn but I really get intrigued with different skin color, texture, hair and facial expressions. I really take my time when it comes down to detail because I want to make sure everything is right.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way and also what I want the world to know about me is put God first in everything you do, stay faithful in the path God place you in, never think your plans are perfect because God’s plans are better, treat everyone like family and never chase money, let money chase you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ll take them to Vizcaya Miami or Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden. Both Gardens has many areas for amazing photos, history and relaxation. Another place would be Venetians pool. This place has a huge clear water pool with a beautiful scenery. To eat? Well it depends, we can walk down las olas in Fort Lauderdale and find many restaurants that serves everything from breakfast to dinner, great music and meeting new people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give a shout-out to a few people in my life after God. I give a shout-out to my mom for being my motivation, the pastor of my church – Pastor Thomas L Jackson AKA POP of Revive Fellowship Kingdom Ministries and I give a HUGE shout-out to two of my greatest supporters and amazing photographers is Remy Joseph and Loul Brown.
