We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Tester and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always been a creative person and it brings me so much joy to make things. I previously created and designed all of my books. After becoming a mother I wanted to capture all the moments of my little one growing up. It became a passion and I wanted to share it with other parents. Knowing I can capture memories for families is an incredible feeling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a photographer in the family photography space, I know my style is different because I focus on moody and dark photography. I like the sense of magical and mystical art and how it comes across in photos. Nature and outdoor photography for this type of work blends seamlessly. .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When I go to Miami I love visiting Calle Ocho. The ambiance and energy is incredible. Not to mention the guava and cheese pastelitos!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would photograph with local photographers and they truly inspired me to follow my passion and start my business.
