We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about myself and what I do! My name is Savanna “Savvy” Westwood, and I’m the Owner and Founder of The Savvy Sitter, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC, proudly serving the Horizon West, Winter Garden, and Windermere areas. Since 2015, we’ve been providing dependable, loving care through services like pet sitting, dog walking, overnight stays, and holiday care. We’re bonded, insured, and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, offering peace of mind to pet owners who trust us with their furry family members.

This year, we’re thrilled to celebrate 10 years in business this June, a milestone made possible by our amazing clients and their wonderful pets. Over the years, we’ve earned 135 5-star Google reviews and have been honored as a NextDoor Favorite, achievements that highlight our commitment to providing exceptional care. Fun fact: This year, my team walked enough dogs to cover the distance of walking across the state of Florida three times!

What sets us apart is our personal touch and dedication to building lasting relationships. Every pet is treated like family, and that trust is the foundation of our success. Beyond the day-to-day, being recognized as Horizon West’s Best Dog Walker for 2024 and becoming a CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International have been proud moments in my journey.

Having lived in the Winter Garden and Windermere areas for over 30 years, I’m deeply connected to the community. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or walkies, I’m passionate about making pets and their owners feel secure, happy, and cared for.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Right now, we’re focusing on several exciting updates. One major initiative is introducing a new service agreement and pricing structure for 2025. We’re rewarding our VIP clients, who rely on us most frequently, with exclusive benefits while ensuring our team is set up for long-term success. This was a big decision, but the overwhelmingly positive response from clients has been heartwarming.

Of course, like any journey, there are challenges. Balancing the growth of the business while ensuring we maintain the personalized care we’re known for has been a learning curve. But with an incredible team behind me, I feel confident in navigating these transitions.

On a personal note, I’ve loved connecting even more deeply with the Horizon West, Winter Garden, and Windermere communities. These relationships remind me why I’m passionate about what I do. From cuddles with pets to cheering on local events like the inaugural Horizon West Pet Fest in October and Horizon West Fest in March of this year, being an active part of this community is what makes this work so rewarding.

Looking ahead, I’m most excited about finding new ways to serve our clients, celebrating a decade of success, and continuing to build relationships with the pets and people who make all of this worthwhile. The journey is truly alive, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to keep evolving and growing.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
What I want people to remember most about me and The Savvy Sitter is that we are a trusted resource and a wealth of knowledge for pet owners. Our goal has always been to provide more than just exceptional pet care—we aim to be a dependable partner in helping pet parents navigate all aspects of their pets’ lives. Whether it’s advice on enrichment, guidance for traveling with pets, or tips on health and wellness, we’re here to support our clients with expertise and compassion.

Our certifications in Pet First Aid and CPR, along with being a CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter, reflect our commitment to staying educated and prepared to handle any situation. Beyond formal training, our years of hands-on experience with a wide variety of pets have given us the ability to adapt to unique needs, temperaments, and challenges.

One thing that sets us apart is our role as a community connector. From recommending local trainers, groomers, and veterinarians to offering advice on products or services that make life easier for pet parents, we’re always eager to share resources that enrich the lives of both pets and their owners.

I also believe that knowledge is most powerful when paired with kindness and trust. Pet parents know they can rely on us not just for practical support but for an understanding and empathetic approach to their concerns. Whether they’re a first-time puppy parent or a seasoned pet owner, we aim to make every step of the journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
