We had the good fortune of connecting with Savanna Westwood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savanna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
There are always risks in life, both personally and professionally. You take risks even just stepping out the front door of your home. Risk is a part of life and it is something we must learn to accept, as well as deal with. There are ways we can manage and reduce risks, so we succeed both in life and business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are your Professional, In-Your-Home, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service for the Winter Garden, Windermere, Dr. Phillips and some of the Metro West and Gotha area. At The Savvy Sitter we believe your pet is unique and special, we offer customizable care for your pet for any special needs they may have, or any services you may want for them. We offer services from Daily Check-In’s, Walks and Visits while you are at work, vacation or the Holidays to Overnights in your home.

I am Savanna Owner and Founder of The Savvy Sitter, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC. I have grown up with animals all my life and enjoy spending time with them. I have lived in the Winter Garden and Windermere Area for over 30 Years. Though I do not have any animals myself, I love taking care of them and giving them the cuddles, playtime, and treats they deserve. I am an active equestrian, big dogs and horses do not frighten me. When I am not taking care of your Fur Friends, you can find me reading, practicing archery, riding, and figuring out ways to provide additional and great services to our clients!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown WInter Garden has changed a lot since I was a kid. It was a somewhat questionable place to visit especially at night, but now it has a farmers market, great food, shopping, and a lot of events and activities.

Food wise we would definitely hit a few of my fav. restaurants/cafes: Lucky Straw Bubble Tea, Paloma Coffee Co. Yellow Dog Eats, Matthew’s Steak House and Restaurant ROw on Sandlake Road.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
– My Parents ( Mom Living and Dad Deceased) , I never saw myself being a business owner, but I guess it runs in the family. Seeing my parents work so hard for something that they own is always inspiring. I never thought I was much like my Dad, nor did I ever want to be, but with his passing, I can see more of him in myself every day as a business owner and in networking. Without my parent’s support and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. I know my Mother is extremely proud and one my Dad’s last few words still carry with me “I could not be more proud of or ask for a more perfect daughter”
