We had the good fortune of connecting with Shae Nicole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shae, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In starting my own business in the beauty industry not only did I want to Give men and women a service but also an experience. Being the first within my immediate family to start their own business and to also be a role model to my children and other siblings, my need to rise above statistics And stereotypes were very strong. I didn’t want to just use my talent as a side hustle I wanted to be able to make it a career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my dedication to my craft being able to provide a service that makes people look and feel better about themselves. Also being able to establish a relationship with my clients providing a comfortable environment where the client feels like they are focal point and their needs are being met. My journey to reach my current professional status Begun when I realized I enjoy doing hair and make up at home resulting in building a clientele . I noticed a loyal following receiving return clients which prompted the initial idea of starting my business and pursuing my own salon. Although their were times I felt things weren’t working in my favor my faith in God and support from my husband allowed me to overcome the obstacles and barriers.By no means was it an easy process. Hard work, dedication, sweat and tears were put into this journey. Challenges arise daily but with time and experience it becomes easier. i’ve learned many lessons along the way some business lessons and some personal lessons. But one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned through this journey is to always take time out for yourself whether you’re working a 9-to-5 or a business you have to make sure to take care of yourself and take time out for you..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Awww Man. I have so many places that I love in the city. So many places to see.. Morning breakfast I would most likely start off at a locals favorite at Jets runway for breakfast/brunch. Then begin the journey South shopping in places like the Aventura mall and Bal Harbor Shops. definitely head down to Steve’s pizza in North Miami. After that head down to South Beach and stop at wet willies for A nice frozen drink. and last but not least take a stroll through Wynwood for some evening entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband has to be my number one fan and supporter. With his continued support and encouragement he has helped me grow and advance Beyond expectation. His influence on this journey and reassurance has really pushed me to look forward towards a bigger and better reality.
