We had the good fortune of connecting with Shamika Burwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shamika, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is, I am not a transactional real estate agent, I am a relational real estate agent. I treat all of my clients like family because truly, we spend a lot of time together and talking throughout their home buying or selling experience. I put my heart and soul into all of my clients. I want them to have the very best experience possible all while achieving their real estate goals. All of the above is what has made my brand successful.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a full time Real Estate agent. I assist individuals and families with achieving their real estate needs whether it be selling their property or buying a property.

What makes me most proud and excited is when we get to the closing table and I can see the smiles and gratitude for all of the hard work and dedication that I’ve put into helping clients get exactly what they want.

I have gotten this far in my business because I am very persistent as it relates to being successful and relentless in all that I put my mind to. I am grateful that I have had a great experience so far with my career change but sometimes it can be challenging depending on the changes in the real estate market.

I have overcome my challenges by implementing great processes and procedures that allow me to generate more leads for my business. The lessons that I’ve learned along the way is that there is fortune in the follow up and you have to remain consistent in order to achieve great results.

I want the world to know that it is my passion to serve the community in the capacity that I do. It brings my heart great joy to hear how one didn’t think that they could become a homeowner and within 30 days receive their keys to their new home.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting we would definitely visit Charlotte, NC. There are so many places to dine and also things to do. It’s the home of the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers if you’re into sports. There are many many brunch places and also great options for dinner.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to send a special shout-out to each and every family that has allowed me to service their families! Thank you to any and everyone that has sent me referrals and that has mentioned my name in rooms that I haven’t entered yet.
