We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanine Alessia Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanine Alessia, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the source of my motivation and inspiration. God inspires everything I do, when He gives me a vision, I run with it. I’m a woman of Faith and I strongly believe that He is guiding my steps and that is why my brand and business has been growing and flourishing. I also think that people love to connect with those who are authentic and I try to stay true to my values and core beliefs. The world has enough pretenders so I prefer to build my brand by being my authentic self.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a professionally certified English teacher who believes in reaching beneath the surface while teaching. I’m also the author of Reaching While Teaching: An Educator’s Guide to Impacting & Transforming Lives and the host of the Reaching While Teaching Podcast. I use my skills as a teacher/speaker and my knowledge as an author to teach others who are passionate about living the best life possible. What truly sets me apart from others is my genuine care and compassion for people. I’m extremely supportive and people know that I am accessible, they can reach out to me for advice or help and I’m willing to assist in any way that I can. I founded Reaching While Teaching, LLC in 2020 and my company exists to educate, empower, and equip individuals to live their best life possible using their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities. I provide teachers and authors with educational resources, courses, coaching and so much more to help them make powerful impacts in the lives they encounter. I got to where I am today by being obedient and faithful in every season of life, I learn from my mistakes and have a growth mindset. This road has not been easy, walking in my purpose has definitely had its challenges. One of the most challenging yet exciting things I’ve done is write and publish my first book! It’s a great feeling being called an author and seeing your vision finally manifest. It took a whole lot of discipline and I finally finished it during the quarantine, which was a bit difficult because I was juggling teaching kids online, watching my one-year-old during the day and then writing and editing my manuscript. Then to make things even more hectic, a few months after publishing my book. I launched my self-publishing course and officially registered my business with the state. I put a lot of thought and prayer into all of these moves and even with the hiccups, I continued to persevere. I learned persistency, perseverance and marketing is key! I want the world to know it is okay to promote your brand, your services and your products. Believe in yourself and believe in your passion. I believe in my brand and in my business and I know I will continue to elevate in life because God is fueling my faith!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the most exciting places to visit while in the city would be Fort Lauderdale Beach and South Beach because of the because of the, cafes, restaurants and live events in that area. Music is also a pretty big deal here so I would recommend swinging by the Hard Rock Cafe and checking out their lounges and the live concerts or comedy shows they usually have lined up.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to my extremely supportive parents Sherine and Terrence Isom. All my life they have encouraged me and motivated me to use my skills and gifts to make the world a better place while keeping God first. My husband has been my backbone and biggest supporter/cheerleader these past few years and he is my podcast engineer, my business partner and so much more. My spiritual leaders Pastors Oral and Sandra Walters has been powerful leaders in my life and I appreciate all of their love and guidance. Also I just want to shout-out my friends and family who support me and shower me with so much love and encouragement.
