Hi Shantae, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote to myself is you can’t cheat the grind. What that means is you can’t put in half or no work in your business and it successful what you put in you will get out. I like it because on the days I get down on myself I’m reminded in that moment did you do all you could to make your business it could have been today or are you just sulking?

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love everything about beauty and fashion and just making everything Aesthetically beautiful. When I first got into the makeup industry it was hard no one wanted to help me . I kept going I would try any and everything on me until I mastered it then I would try it out on others. I learned everything through trial and error. I want anybody inspiring to be a MUA to know it hard work as pretty as you make make your clients look it takes tenacity and drive even when you are a underdog.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week I would take her to fountain blue in Miami. We would have a beach view stay. I would setup dates to all the restaurants that we barely make it to on a weekend trip. We would visit a lot of museums and go jet skiing parasailing. I would rent an expensive car just to valet to see how it feels.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person I would like to credit is my business mentor her name is Margaret Johnson. She gave me my first start in a salon and she was invested in my success and has supported me and pushed me even now.
