We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanteria Griglen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanteria, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
Choosing me in spite of the doubt that constantly flooded my mind.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is writing, directing and producing creative content that inspires, and encourages authenticity. For me, producing is not merely a hobby, it’s a powerful tool used to impact lives.

I’m excited about networking with like-minded creative souls that want to boldly change the world one project at a time.

Faith is what has and continues to take me through my dreams.

I’m just scratching the surface, I don’t believe I’ve experienced my greatest success yet. Success for me is not a crowded room or a sold out show, but a heart that’s eager to heal because of my work.

I’ve had to learn that if you are not sure of who you are as a creative you will blow in any direction the wind pushes you. Be confident in knowing what YOU have to offer the world, is necessary and it doesn’t have to look like everybody else.

I need the world to know that my ambition is to always inspire and encourage an audience to live a life filled with wholeness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Fresh off the flight and not to far away, we going to 3 Sons Brewery! A cute and cozy spot tucked in Dania Beach that has great food and craft beer to tingle your taste buds. Once when finish chopping it up over some delicious pizza, then wwe’ll make our way over to Dania Pointe for a little retail therapy and beautiful scenery. If it’s a Friday night, Rhythm and Vine is a must! The vibes take you all the way back to Cali with great spirits and a cool atmosphere filled with music. If you want to turn up a bit just head west on Sistrunk Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale and make your way to Smitty’s, a nice soulful spot that has great music, games, drinks and food! Last but not least, you have to take a trip to Miami Gardens and get you a taste of Hong Kong, I promise you’ve never had Chinese food this good!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Anyone that has ever prayed, believed encouraged, or motivated me to keep going. Outside of God, my daughter deserves the credit for my story, she redefined my life and gave me a sense of purpose.
