Meet Sol Vazquez

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sol Vazquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sol, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I honestly have been passionate about art since i was little. My mom used to take me to art classes and my love for painting and drawing grew throughout my whole life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It’s been a long way as I started my first salon Lupitas back in 2017. I started doing plain simple gel nails and slowly started doing designs after taking some courses in Bahia Blanca (Argentina) where I’m from. It wasn’t easy but my business grew more and more thanks to my dedication and passion about nails and also I think my empathy and sensitive personality played a role. Offering a good service was key and also using premium quality products. I learned to have patience with myself and also along the way I realized that being organized with my time was essential to have a good work life balance.
I moved to Miami in 2021 , leaving my family, friends and business a side. and has definitely been the biggest challenge i took in my whole life. I was following my dreams and also falling in love with my now boyfriend. My sister Belen took over the management of my business while I was playing my cards here. I got my license and worked for two salons here in Miami until I recently started my on wheels business. Now I go to people’s houses providing nail services.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For the day I would go and walk around Design District and take nice pictures there, then go for lunch at Mandolin and then right after go to Brickell to show them around. For a fun an chill night I would definitely go to Lagniappe for some wine and a good charcuterie. Also I love going for walks or just for a chill plan like drinking mate (Argentinian beverage) around South Point.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has always been supportive and loving with every decision I had taken in life; including my business. My boyfriend is also a big support, biggest fan and the one who is always cheering me up.
