We had the good fortune of connecting with Stella Bona and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stella, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea actually stemmed from a simple conversation with my best friend as she was planning her wedding. She mentioned the trend of live painting at luxury weddings as I was reminded of my passion for painting and decided to offer my skills for her special day. This moment sparked the idea to turn my lost love for painting into a business, capturing unforgettable moments through live painting.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With a background in event entertainment, and a lifelong passion for art, my work is defined by meticulous attention to detail. This dedication shines through in both my visual creations and event set ups, setting me apart by blending creativity with precision.
I have reached where I am today professionally through relentless hard work and unwavering consideration of my husband and the continued support and patronage of my clients. It was by no means easy, especially with the destabilization of the event industry during the 2020 pandemic. However, my involvement in the healthcare sector enabled me to persevere.
All these experiences have taught me so much and rounded my perspective all together. I want to thank my clients for supporting small businesses like mine. It is really a two-way street.
They receive quality service because, to me, they are not just a number but a valued person, and in return they help support my livelihood and my dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1:
– Dinner at Blackbird in Jupiter, FL: Enjoy the unique Chinese Western fusion cuisine at this acclaimed restaurant in Jupiter, known for its innovative dishes and elegant ambiance.

Day 2:
– Brunch at Benny’s at the Beach in Lake Worth, FL: Indulge in a delightful breakfast menu while soaking in the beautiful beach scenery at this charming waterfront eatery.
– Visit the Norton Arts Museum: Immerse yourself in a world of art and culture at the prestigious Norton Arts Museum, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary and classical works.
– Explore Antique Row: Stroll through the historic Antique Row in West Palm Beach, filled with a plethora of antique shops and unique finds to browse.
– Lunch at Sushi Jo: Recharge with a delicious meal at Sushi Jo, known for its fresh sushi and refreshing acai bowls, perfect for a warm day after exploring Antique Row.
– IPIC Theatre: Conclude the day with a relaxing movie experience at IPIC Theatre in Delray, where we can enjoy a movie in luxury reclining seats and savor a delectable dinner menu during the show.

Day 3:
– Spa Day at the Eau Hotel in Manalapan: Enjoying lavish spa services and amenities. No need to leave for food since the hotel boasts amazing on site restaurants.

Day 4:
– West Palm Beach Brightline to Fort Lauderdale and have a full day of enjoying Asian food spots and delicacies like Mamayatai known for their awesome pastries and snacks. Then next door to Mama Tofu Street Food for lunch.
– Dinner time will be at the awesome Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise in Fort Lauderdale where we can enjoy a history about Fort Lauderdale and head to their private island and enjoy a live show and dinner buffet.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My success is a testament to the unwavering support and encouragement of my husband Rafi, my parents, my sister Carla Bona, and my best friend Amanda Sanford. I’m also deeply grateful to the invaluable mentorship of established artists such as Nancy Tilles, Marcela Murad, Judith Brooker and Maggie Vergara whose guidance has been instrumental in my journey.
