We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephan Debelle Duplan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephan, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
We are inspired by the people we meet; their families, their stories, and the energy they bring to a photoshoot. We feel very honored to be able to capture their once in a lifetime vacations and special memories.

We’re also largely inspired by nature; the bright blue waters of Bora Bora, the palm trees, the local culture. Being surrounded by so much beauty, inspires us each and every day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been a photographer in Bora Bora for over 10 years now. I’m very proud of where I am today. Little by little, I was able to grow my business and relationships on the island. There were of course many challenges; I was new to photography and new to the island but my passion for my work allowed me to persevere and succeed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shout out to my business partner and wife, Bonnie. She deserves a tremendous amount of credit for the success of our business.
