Meet Stephanie Hill | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I started my 20s as a professional ballet dancer but switched to public relations due to the 2008 economic recession. I quickly realized corporate life wasn’t for me so I created my blog, The Style Bungalow, which allowed me to express myself. Since then, my blog has become a place where I have developed a voice in fashion, solidified my work as a creative and found fulfillment outside of ballet.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Yes – lots of challenges! Looking at The Style Bungalow today, it may come as a surprise that I almost didn’t start blogging because I was too terrified at the thought of being judged by others, especially since I did not have a formal fashion background and lost my job as a ballerina. But this wasn’t the only fear that held me back, it was the many hurdles of creating a new brand from scratch that seemed incredibly challenging. Nonetheless, those first few years were demanding, daunting but very rewarding. I am beyond grateful to have worked with a multitude of brands, but it’s been through gaining insight and wisdom from overcoming so many of these fears that I’ve achieved the most confidence and strength. Today I hope to inspire others to do the same – to not be afraid of reinventing yourself because you never know where it will lead you – and that it’s possible to find joy and happiness in other careers, which I talk about often…
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Having lived in West Palm Beach and Miami for nearly 13+ years, I feel like a local! Here are my favorite South Florida spots:
PALM BEACH
– Bike ride along Lake Trail in Palm Beach
– Le Bilboquet, Pizza al Fresco and La Sirena in Palm Beach
– Anything on Antique Row on Dixie Hwy (in West Palm Beach)
MIAMI
– My favorite restaurants are Casa Tua, Byblos, Hiden, Mandolin
– I also love Fireman Derek’s Bakery for weekend treats and Versailles (of course) for the perfect cortadito
– Art Deco District is a must-see for design lovers

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My life has been blessed with some of the most amazing people who believed in me, like my ballet coaches, successful colleagues and friends, but my husband has been my greatest support, motivation and truest friend.
As for books, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie changed my life!
